Hotel Midtown Richardson

The hotel is very comfortable. It is very near, only 150m to xi men station. 200m to xi men ding area. The hotel is big and always packed.

It was so great! The room was really clean, convenient and comfortable. I stayed there 3 night and sleep peacefully. The location is near with Ximending night market (walk from hotel only 2~3mins). If you come to the hotel by MRT, I would recommend to use exit 4 since there are an escalator. Moreover, the check-in and check-out service is super fast and easy~ (I attached only one photo because I decided to took as an video instead.

Nice location next to Gate 4,5 of the Ximen MRT station (It takes about 2-3 minutes to walk). The 15th floor room has low ceilings. Breakfast menus are varied. Self-service check-in and check-out are available. Can store luggage before check-in and after check-out.

The worst hotel that I can't imagine with that hotel, the room has smell with cheap perfume, the hallway is dirty and the room like as a shelter not a hotel, smell, low ceiling with lot of room I have never seen the worse hotel like that before and they operate hotel to make the money as much as possible. Hope that people will not choose this hotel to get the up set. I have to check out and accepted to lose money and don't want anyone to have that situation like as my case

Big hotel near shopping area. Self service check-in. Look convenient.

Family Room is very spacious even with 2 double beds! Toilet was well equipped, japanese styled toilet bowl with bidet and seat warmer. Has basic toiletries like shampoo, body soap, toothbrush/toothpaste. I supposed the toilet is wheelchair friendly as some water from the shower area may flow out of the toilet due to flat surface and the toilet door is a sliding style with no locks. A pity that the shower head cannot be adjusted as there is only 1 mode for the shower head which can be quite painful for people with sensitive skin. Room design is very simplistic, lighting can be insufficient for some and the TV was somehow misaligned as it is not centered for the two double beds. The sofa is big enough for 3 adults with a medium round dining table. It's a game of luck as I heard from friends who stayed in Family Room had a slightly different configuration with a smaller space at the sofa area. Check in is strictly at 3pm or later. If early check in is required, may need to pay a small fee for early check in. Hotel provides luggage storage if you arrive there early. For those who like to eat cup noodles, hot/cold water dispenser is available at all floors near the lift lobby area. Overall, a good stay, will consider to book this hotel again when I come to Taiwan.

Room does not have window and is very small if you need to open a very huge luggage. Medium sized luggage was wide enough to open fully but will block the walkway from the room door to the toilet if you needed more space. Showering area and toilet area are separate, suitable for couples but not so for friends who are unwilling to be bare naked in front of each other before or after showering. TV is very old (Proton brand) and was not able to connect to chromecast to stream my netflix or other apps. Room is only good if you are staying for 1 or 2 nights and if you are outside of the room for most of the time during the day. Not recommended for those with clasutrophobia. Location wise is good, nearby a lot of eateries and shopping area, 7-11 is about 3-5 minutes walk away and has direct access to Ximen metro. Would recommend potential travelers to book a bigger room if given the choice and budget.

I like the fact that my room was quite spacious and clean enough. I like things that looked new and the furniture in my room were considered new. The breakfast was quite good with various items. I appreciate that the waitress kept on moving around the tables to take dirty utensils. But of course the thing that I like the most is its location. This hotel is next to Exit 4 of Ximen MRT station. It is very convenient. And it is within walking distance to Ximending night market and surrounded by many places including 7/11. But I guess there is always room for improvement. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. Hope the hotel manager can really take care of it, clean the carpet properly so it would not be dusty and contain stains.
