Convenient to travel near the way up and down mrt Under the hotel there is a shabu restaurant, very tasty, inexpensive, the rooms are OK with all the amenities. There is a taxi in front of the hotel. If you want to go anywhere, can go up from here. On the day of booking, 2 rooms were booked. But the other room smelled very cigarette smell Maid comes to clean everyday. Service is mediocre. Family room, even if sleeping 4 people But if not initially selected the number of people The hotel will charge an additional $ 3,4 per person for $ 600. It is better to book early.

The hotel is very convenient to travel near Mrt exit 2-4-6. The hotel is big. But sometimes the lift is waiting for a long time. Many people have a comfortable bed. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast has a lot to choose from. There are Thai food in the buffet line as well. From the school, cross the street to find Ximending street. Very convenient. A lot of food under the building. The outside of the school has a mini mart. Very convenient. beautiful

splendid location, restaurants and souvenir shops are just several steps away. Tour buses as well as MRT terminal are very close making leisure trips comfortable as well as travelling from / to the airport a breeze. note though that exit 6, has escalators, making it a better choice than exit 5 and 6.

There was only a table in the room, with no sofa or chairs provided. There was also mould along the edges of the bathtub area. I even spotted a baby cockroach on the wall while waiting for the lift. Overall, the condition and cleanliness of the property were not as good as they used to be.

Room is small and cold. Couldn’t adjust the thermostat, even their own staff can’t do it. Slow draining bathroom sink, called front desk, said someone would be coming but no one came. Needs bright lightings in the room and hallway. Good location though but noisy.

Good:: Universal plug on wall so no need for multi-plug. Toilet has mini bath tub. Only 2 complimentary bottles of water at start of stay. Refill water machine available. Bad:: very tight room, hardly space to open luggages. Computer for Check in not so user friendly so has to wait one by one for staff to help.

We previously stayed in the other sister company, Papa Whale, but enjoyed our stay in Midtown Richardson even more. It was located even closer to the MRT station and included everything we needed.

The room is very dated and has multiple issues, such as the shower that leaks lots of water in to the floor near toilet and the shower door does not close completely. The room smelt very musty as well as the hall way outside. Multiple stains on carpet outside room and not vacuumed once when we were there for four nights. The floor in bedroom is uneven in places. You can definitely hear everyone in their rooms next door. But for me the biggest was the smell and I had hay fever type symptoms while in there. It’s a lot of money for that type of accommodation. On the positives it is very central to subway and shops and eating. Breakfast was good but get there early as it’s like the hunger games. Had not much interaction with staff as they all seemed to be busy or not interested. Seems like the boss man is making a lot of money and skimping on repairs and employment of cleaners.

There was cockroach next to the bed inside the room. I was so scare when sleeping. Also, the concierge charge NT$800 per luggage if we leave it there for storage overnight even we will return to the hotel in 3 days,to stay for another 2 night. We end up needing to take all our luggages to Hualien.

Checked in the same hotel 2 years ago & was good. However this time round was bad: 1. Self service check-in system was not gd.There wasn’t proper queue system and travellers will just hogged on to the check in system although there are ppl who came first . The worst part lack of support as the system gave errors and the staffs weren’t polite. 2. Booked the same room type (family deluxe) except we opted for city view this time. Surprisingly the room appeared smaller than what we had last time. For a family of 5 the room is not very suitable due to lack of space for luggages , lack of hanging in toilet etc . Very different from our experience 2 years ago. 3. There’s mozzie in the room and my kid was bitten badly! I managed to kill it only after 3rd day of stay! 4. Very late and quite horrendous housekeeping. We returned back at 430pm and room wasn’t cleaned up. Told the housekeeping we can only allow them to come after 6 as my kids need to sleep. They just appeared at 5+ insisting to do basic clean up. In front of my eyes, the lady used a cloth to clean the toilet floor and using the same cloth to wipe the vanity top. I stopped her cleaning immediately as it’s too disgusting to view what’s next.. 5. Very very run down. The shower head was spoilt with water spraying in different angle. The shower piping was also leaking. The toilet bowl leaked with urine twice and was choked (yes shouldn’t throw toilet paper in but this is so unhygienic!) Won’t stay here next time.
