The hotel was in a useful location, not too far from the Metro and within walking distance to both tourist areas and conference venues. The restaurant was closed during my visit, but plenty of nearby options for breakfast or dinner were available.
Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, while checkout staff couldn't provide an invoice (they told me to check the Expedia website, which didn't itemize anything, but couldn't provide anything themselves).
The room was spacious and clean, with minor scuff marks in places; the bathroom was well-stocked with essentials. The wall-mounted AC unit only cooled, but once I learned that there were baseboard heaters for heating, things went well (though the thermostats overestimate values). The room was fairly quiet, except on Saturday nights, when neighbours returned from parties and continued a bit indoors; outside traffic was barely noticeable (except for ambulances from CHUM, which were expected).
Overall, it was good value for money, and I'd stay there again.
