What Guests Say About Their Stay

Bernard

The hotel advertises self-parking, but it should be noted that the lot is about a 4-minute walk away, or closer to 5 minutes by car because of the lights and one-way streets. Parking is also paid: $15.50 per day or $13.50 overnight. Since it is a public lot with limited availability, be prepared to find alternative parking if it is full. Also, if you are driving a pickup with a 6.5-foot box, getting into the lot is extremely tight, though getting out is much easier. The hotel restaurant was closed for repairs during my stay. From the outside, it appeared to be in perfectly good condition, so it may be close to reopening, but at the moment this is inconvenient. The nearest breakfast option is about a 4-minute walk in the opposite direction from the parking lot, at Allô mon Coco on Ste-Catherine Est. That is manageable if you have no mobility issues and do not mind the extra walking, but it does add up, especially if you need to to go another 8 minutes back for your vehicle. Bring cash. The hotel’s vending machines only accept cash, and there is a private ATM on site if you want to pay high withdrawal fees.

Great value. Walking distance to many areas including McGill, cartier de spectacles etc. Bus stop right in front of building. Recommend click park for parking. Did see a sketchy couple checking in which concerned me. Also noticed the elevators make a lot of noise so a room further from them would be good. Restaurant was under reno but did not bother me as not needed. Overall smooth check in, clean room. Basic but if u just need place to sleep value is exceptional for the location.

It’s so close to the Berri Uqam station. Just few minutes walk. Very close to nearby attractions too. It was a perfect place for me. It’s a budget hotel and great for solo travellers too. I will definitely come back again.

The service at the front desk is horrendous, with a very argumentative manager. The house-keeping service is terrible, with room cleaning provided only every 3 days. Totally inadequate. The hotel refused to respond to complaints about the telephone not working. - no dial tone. The internet service is poor, and the face basin was clogged. Despite repeated requests, the hotel staff refused to address these issues. If you request a taxi, the front desk calls Diamond Taxi only. The customer service of this provider is very poor.

This was a pretty good budget hotel. Perfect for doing some laptop work in the day for a few hours. Then if you leave the rest of the day. Very good place if you only need to store your stuff and leave all day and come back to sleep. This is what I did. Fell asleep late and woke up early, showered and left. Basic. Meets your needs at a decent price point.
