Great property for those visiting Wimbledon. Only criticism is that the newly renovated room I had had a huge bathroom but the smallest bath and a shower you had to crouch under. I am 5ft 9 so anyone over 6 ft will have real issue. Need a large walk in shower

5 star facilities, 2 star rooms. Everything is very aged. Our room was tiny with old mediocre furniture. Definitely not 4 star.

The room was huge ,we had two double beds with a sofa between us ,the bathroom had a large shower cubicle and a bath with a shower, plenty of tea and coffee,bottled water in the fridge a kettle and a coffee machine,that's just the room all the other things outside in the grounds are amazing ,the place was going through a refit we saw into a room they even pulled up the floorboards.

Stayed with young child. Room wasn’t available but front hostess was more than helpful with checking bags into secure area so we could get to rugby. Room was eco room spacious large shower and Tv bed was comfy and air conditioning was flawless durning the heat wave. Issues in the restaurant where after ordering food and drinks we were both waiting 30mins for drinks. My meal only a burger took an hour and when it came out was cold. No staff seemed interested in offering further drinks. Restaurant wasn’t particularly busy where it took almost 2 hours to be served a one courses meal one drink i ordered didn’t show up very very poor service in restaurant.

Very pleasant ground to play tennis and use of swimming pool and gym free of charge for guests

The refurbishing of this hotel is still in progress, therefore it is a bit noisy as construction starts around 7:30 a.m.. There is presently only one small bar/restaurant available for members and hotel guests for breakfast, lunch/dinner/drinks and it is overcrowded in the morning, and doesn't stay open longer to assist hotel guests (there are some pubs/restaurants nearby). Majority of staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Deluxe room was fab, bed hard, shower superb, breakfast very good.

The hotel is currently being refurbished. The air conditioning is not working in the bedrooms and then restaurant is closed to refurbishment. I would avoid until the refurbishment is completed.

Lots of parking (included in price) which is a rarity on London! Helpful staff. Great breakfast options in lovely newly refurbished dining room. Room was basically decorated but had working fridge and amazingly powerful shower!

When we booked a 5 night stay for July in March, we were made aware that the lounge was being updated. There was ongoing communication from The Lensbury up till two days before our arrival. They were looking forward to our stay, they reminded us of the restorations, etc etc. Then, one day before our arrival, we got a frantic message from Expedia saying that our booking had been cancelled by The Lensbury and we had to make alternate arrangements. This shocked us. We have been frequent guests to The Lensbury the past four years, often visiting twice a year. I wrote an email to the hotel, asking why we had been misled and why nobody had considered it necessary to give an explanation or even an apology. To date, I have had no response. It is a week since I wrote to them. We feel very disappointed and spurned by the Hotel. For numerous reasons, we were patrons and wanted to continue being guest of the hotel. Now we're in the doldrums.

Breakfast is in a temporary room, really slow and low quality. We had plans that had to change because they wouldn't seat you at breakfast past 9:15am even though the hotel website says breakfast ends at 10:30am on weekends.

The property was nice and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is far from the city center but I actually enjoyed the location.

To be honest. The room wasn’t great. Very old fashioned and the bathroom door needed a good paint. Couldn’t turn on the bathroom radiator. Tv was tiny and bed not that comfy. Tiny room and very basic for the cost But great amenities for spa and leisure.

Bteakfast was very good, plus the gym accessibility was also great, especially given the size of the facility.

The room was clean, I'm not keen on the glass toilet doors in the ascot building but the room was nice and pretty well kept. There was some renovations going on in the main bar whilst we were they so breakfast wasn't in its normal place and it wasn't full buffet as it has been before. I do prefer the full buffet but the breakfast was very, very good and staff were great. Lush setting, looking out on the river, with lots of wildlife.

Great location and a beautiful walk down the Thames to Richmond only took 3 hours. Lots to do and see in the area. Peaceful and tranquil away from the hustle and bustle

Only loss of star was bathroom shower did not drain quickly and left the floor under water Staff dealt with it.

Would 100% recommend this hotel and if a upgrade is available at a good rate. Take it.

First visit and what a lovely place. The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. I had a truly lovely massage in the spa and the food was good too. My room was a double and ideal size with a good bathroom. The Lensbury is currently going through a big refurb and it's being handled so well. We had no disturbance, the reception had been relocated, it was communicated in advance and it didn't spoil our stay. Points for improvement would be that in the wet spa area, it doesn't smell too great and needs some nice oils in the steam room or similar. A jacuzzi or bubble pool is needed because there's nowhere for friends to hang out or have poolside drinks after using the steam room or pool for a bit so we ended up leaving and walking into the village. I would return though.
