Second time staying at Harper Palembang 1. Clean hotel and room 2. Breakfast was top-notch! Very varied. 3. Staff friendliness was lacking! As soon as I parked in the basement, I was about to go to the elevator and passed a staff member. They didn't smile, greet, or say anything, and instead, they just turned away when we accidentally passed each other. The receptionist was also very rude. When I wanted to have breakfast, there were two female staff members and one male staff member. I even went to the counter before entering the restaurant to tell them which room I was staying in, but the three of them were still chatting happily even though there were already customers in front of them. Overall, it was okay, but a few staff members made this second visit a bit uncomfortable. The staff were friendly when I visited Harper Palembang two years ago. That's why I was a bit surprised after this second visit.

The room was okay and clean. The floor was vinyl so it wasn't sticky.

I never get bored staying here. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the mall. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Perfect for families or business trips.

The hotel staff was friendly and responsive. During check-in, our child accidentally knocked over a glass provided for drinking from the drinks. At breakfast, they also helped guests refill their drinking water regularly.

I was given a non-smoking room. When I complained, they gave me a solution: re-treatment. In my opinion, it was just a matter of spraying some freshener. After 2 hours, the cigarette smell was strong again, as if it had already blended into the bed, pillows, etc. That night, I couldn't sleep because the cigarette smell was so disturbing. I couldn't move rooms because all the rooms were full. My 2-night stay was truly torturous, and when I returned from there, I had a sore throat and was coughing now (I'm very sensitive to cigarette smells). I don't want to stay here again, it seems. From the start, I told the staff that I was sensitive to cigarette smells, but they thought I was exaggerating and didn't give me any other solution because I had already checked in and couldn't cancel. I was really frustrated.

It's one of the nicest hotels in Palembang, with a comprehensive and delicious breakfast. I've stayed here countless times on business trips.
