Our second time at this resort. Excellent food and very friendly staff! The most beautiful location. We will definitely go back again.

The staff are extremely friendly and kind. Andre our evening server was awesome! The highlight was the entertainment team! The Michael Jackson tribute was everything!

We were looking for a nice relaxing chill out time, it delivered on all fronts 😊👍

Compared to other Rius the resort it self had nothing to do especially for a palace. The rooms were nothing compared to other Riu Palaces, no swim outs, no nice view, only 3 pools for the whole place, only 4 restaurants, no sport bar, I can go on and on about how bad this place was. 3/10

I like how the staff were ready to help. I misplaced my foundation and reported it to the manager. He promised me to look into it. When I got home I saw it and called like about two times before I could talk to the same manager that I found what I thought was lost. I am satisfied with the hotel staff. There was no bad experiences. Having said that I noticed that I saw a cockroach and fly in the room, that can be fixed. A staff asked if I was coming back again and I said YES! I love the place and I can recommend it to anyone. Thank you for keeping us safe!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

2 out of 5 stars The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the beach was absolutely beautiful. That said, everything else fell short of expectations. We were extremely disappointed with how the staff treated us depending on whether or not we tipped—or even if they assumed we wouldn’t. This is marketed as an all-inclusive resort, yet we felt pressured to tip constantly: every meal, every drink, housekeeping, and pretty much any interaction. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere that overshadowed what should have been a relaxing experience. The room was another letdown. As a so-called family resort, the space was shockingly small for a family of four. With two toddlers (ages 3 and 4), it felt cramped and stressful any time we were in the room. Definitely not designed with young families in mind. We won’t be returning. The beach isn’t enough to make up for everything else.

I loved the experience I wish they had a little better tequila and they had better 24 hour food because after you drink you get hungry. Even if it was just pizza. But everyone was so nice! Amazing service.

I liked the resort and beachfront.. I didn’t like the food options or inability to get a reservation in the specialty restaurants

Really clean nice staff, fun for the entire family and food is EXCELLENT.

We had a wonderful time at Riu Tropical Bay Negril! The beach is the most beautiful beach that we have ever seen and we live in Southern California! Only negatives were the women’s restroom always smelled like sewer and there was some deferred maintenance around the property. Staff was nice, especially when tipped. Need to update some of the restaurants and menu items. Also, went to the other Riu property and found it to be much more up to date, but the beach at Tropical bay was far superior!

My transportation to the airport was completely and utterly botched by Expedia and Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay resulting in having to pay private transportation.

Too strict

No major complaints. The room and property were beautiful. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning. Only real complaint were the sockets were a bit loose so getting devices to charge were difficult... but that could have been just my room. The views were absolutely beautiful and if i needed to be in the area again, i would stay here. I have a very limited diet so i cant comment on all the food. What i did eat was delicious. Check in and check out were a breeze. Lovely property. Met a wonderful server while we were there... she made dinnertime a very nice experience. Thank you for treating my family so great as we were back in Jamaica for a funeral.

The beach is the best thing on the property and the friendly staff. There is however nothing that is luxurious about the hotel. Accommodations average, food average.

Had a nice mixture of quiet and party vibe when needed. Went for my babymoon and had a great time. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. Enjoyed every minute of it

Anything on the ocean is beautiful however the lack of elevators and reaching out to the staff for towels that we never received is why my rating is what it is.
