About 5 Day Learn to Dive Course

Pro Dive Cairns 5 day PADI “Open Water” course combines the adventure of learning to scuba dive with the excitement of exploring the spectacular beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. This 5 day adventure consists of 2 days of theory and pool training, then 3 days and 2 nights on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, staying on one of Pro Dive Cairns’ premium liveaboard dive boats. Included in the course are 9 dives (4 training and 5 recreational including a guided night dive) on a variety of 19 exclusive Outer Reef sites. There’s also plenty of time to snorkel and relax onboard.

Additional Information

We recommend that you not fly within 24 hours of your final dive. Your final scheduled dive of the 3-day trip will be completed by 12pm

Prior to commencing your dive course you are required to complete the self-assessment Student Diver Medical Declaration. A positive response to any questions indicates there is a pre-existing condition which may affect your safety while diving and you must consult a medical practitioner, preferably with experience in diving medicine, to obtain a dive medical certificate that states you are medically fit to dive.

Number of Pax on the day: 32 passengers and 6 crew.

The number of dives may vary subject to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

$85 levy per person to be paid on board to the operator

Cancellation Policy

Please note: Any participant who commences the 5 Day Learn to Dive Course may cancel for any reason up until the end of day 1 (7pm) and are entitled to receive a full refund of the monies paid directly to Pro Dive Cairns. Customers who have purchased their course through a travel agent are advised that agent cancellation fees may apply and to contact their Agent in this regards. No refunds are applicable for any reason after this time
