About Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset Tour with BBQ Dinner | Northern Territory

Head out to Uluru and visit its sacred sites with this special Outback tour. Explore what is often considered a religious ground and learn more with the help of a local driver-guide. Discover its native flora, fauna, cultural traditions of Anangu, and an array of fascinating sacred sites!

Your driver will offer you a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can admire Aboriginal rock paintings and learn their meanings. You can also visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to purchase locally made Aboriginal art and learn about the Western Desert region.

At the end of your day tour, you will arrive at "Sunset Strip", where you can relax and admire the sunset with a glass of wine while you gaze up at the ruddy evening sky. After sunset, your guide will transfer you to an exclusive desert setting dining site. Here, you get to indulge in a special Uluru sunset dinner with BBQ, wine, and a clear view of the stars and Uluru.

The tour departs daily at 2:30 pm (April–October) and 3:00 pm (November–March) from Ayers Rock Resort
You'll return 30 minutes after sunset or 2.5 hours after sunset when partaking in the BBQ

Please arrive at the designated point 5–10 minutes before the estimated departure. The bus will arrive on time and will wait for late passengers. Please look for the "AAT Kings" Bus
This package does not include admission to Kata Tjuta National Park. Passengers are advised to purchase tickets in advance and show them to the driver when boarding the bus. Tickets for Kata Tjuta National Park can be purchased from the National Park website, AAT Kings hotline at 1300 555 339, AAT Kings counter of the Information Center in AYQ Community Center, or from the driver on the day of departure
Please wear enclosed walking shoes and warm layers in the cooler months. It is advised to bring a flynet in the summer months and cash if purchasing aboriginal artwork
Please ensure you have a minimum of 1 liter of water with you for your walk
Dietary requests must be made before 2:00 pm on the day of the tour
