About Rila Monastery and Boyana Church self-guided day trip from Sofia

-What you can expect- Discover two of Bulgaria’s UNESCO World Heritage gems on this day trip from Sofia.While travelling by minibus, you'll be able to admire rural Bulgaria on route to the Rila Monastery in the pine-carpeted Rila Mountains. After you'll take a self-guided tour of the medieval treasure, with its fresco-coated church, and visit its fascinating museum.You'll then continue to Boyana Church, near Sofia, to marvel at its spectacular pre-Renaissance frescoes before coming back to the city.

Minimum age for joining this activity: 6 years old

Entry fees aren't included in the tour's price: admission to the Boyana Church (approximately 5 euros per person) and Rila Monastery Museum (approximately 4 euros per person). Also, the audio guide at the Rila Monastery will have an extra cost of approximately 5 euros per person

Please note the Boyana Church won't be visitable on the following dates: the 18th of May, the 19th of April, both the 24th and 25th December
