This beer tasting walking tour visits some of Berlin's most interesting bars, brewpubs and craft beer hot spots to sample and discuss the wonderful history of German brewing tradition and the exciting local craft scene developing here in Berlin and throughout the entire nation. As well as sampling some new and old products on the market we aim to give you some great insights into the brewing, history, distribution and ideas to change the way German people view one of the country's favorite pastimes.
-Try 11 different beers to try from Berlin, Bavaria, USA, UK, Italy, Scandanavia and more.
-Start your tour at a Brewery and pub making traditional Berlin styles in small quantities in the historic brewing district of Prenzlauer Berg.
-Sample some traditional German style beers from Bavaria including Pilsners, Helles, Weissbier, Kellerbier, Dunkelbier, compare their distinct flavors and learn about how they are made.
-Learn about the 500 year old German beer purity law (Reinheitsgebot) and the cultural importance of Berlin and German brewing tradition. Also learn how politics, the church and old merchant traders have shaped centuries of brewing culture in Germany.
-Try new style craft beers introduced to Berlin from a team of locals and ex-pats bringing their lengthy experience to the city from abroad.
-Finish the tour at the Monterey bar one of Germany´s most famous craft beer bars boasting a huge range of international IPA´s, Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, Sour ales, Belgian Style and local craft beer. In this cozy and lively bar you will sample with your guide some of their latest and most interesting products.

This tour is designed for guests who want to gain some insights into the beer scene and culture , taste some interesting beer and enjoy the company of other like minded people. We offer quite a few beers on this tour but it is absolutely up to guests how much they wish to consume. This tour is not a pub-crawl and it is most certainly not our intention to get our guests drunk on this tour.
