About Kecak and Barong Dance Show The Nusa Dua

Its a concept of Balinese Barong and Kecak Dance arts which are packaged in a single performance at TAKSU ART STAGE on Peninsula Island The Nusa Dua, Bali. BALI LANGEN has the meaning of beauty (The Balinese atmosphere is pleasant and alluring to visit. This show begins with a Barong performance and then continues with a KECAK DANCE performance with stories taken from Ramayana epic. It is told when Sri Raa, the legitimate crown prince of the Ayodya Kingdom, was exiled from the palace by his father, King Dasarata. This happened because of slaner by Dewi Kakayi (stepmother) Sri Rama, Along with his younger brother (Laksamana) and his wife (Dewi Sinta), Sri Rama went to Dadanka forest. Their existence in the Dadanka forest, is kown by Rahwana (Prabu Dasamuka) a tyrannical king. Rahwana was captivated by the beauty Dewi Sinta. He then looked for a way to kidnap Sinta. To achieve his aim, he was assisted by his prime minister, Marica. With all his supernatural powers, Marica transformed into a beautiful and agile golden deer. Their trick succeeded in separating Sinta from Rama and Laksamana. It was when they were separated, Rahwana kidnapped Dewi Sinta and took her Alengka Pura. Rama and Laksamana tried to save Sinta from the hands of the cruel King. He is assisted by an army of monkeys leds by Hanoman, a powerful white monkey. They manged to defeat the giant Rahwana and recapture Dewi Sinta safely. Experiencing the Kecak and Barong dances in Bali is an enriching and memorable cultural experience.
