The 3.6-kilometer-long sandbar forms a natural bridge across the sea, connecting the north and south sides. Over 6,700 pine trees dot the sandbar, their ancient branches stretching toward the sky. The cherry blossoms bloom from early to mid-April, while the maple trees reach their peak from mid-November to late November, offering distinct beauty each season, making this location worth visiting year-round

The Kyoto Tango Railway, known as the Sea Train, offers a special sightseeing experience on the Aomatsu. With sofa and counter seats, passengers can enjoy beautiful views of the outside.
