The city, an interesting crossover of traditional and modern clichés, houses contemporary venues from historic monuments, upscale malls, luxury hotels, thriving street markets, and vibrant nightlife venues that draw in people from all walks of life. On this tour, revel in the brilliance of the Petronas Twin Towers, which marked Kuala Lumpur's entrance into the greater global economy in the 21st century. Following your hotel pick up at 9:30am, you will be taken to the iconic skyscraper and arrive at 10:00am. Capture the breathtaking panorama of the cityscape that stretches to the mountainous views in the neighboring vicinities at the observation deck on the 86th floor. You have the entire hour documenting every angle and sharing the fun on social media. By 11:00am, blend into the locals with a trip to the Central Market for some souvenir shopping. Situated in the Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur, the greenhouse features an abundant collection of plants and flowers, welcoming guests with its relaxed, tropical ambiance despite being in the middle of the bustling city. Next is the the KL Bird Park, expected at 1:00pm, for a wildlife showpiece at the heart of Lake Gardens. Become friends with and watch the birds in action in the public aviary, which is said to be home to over 3,000 birds from 200 species all over the world. Mid-afternoon at 2:00pm, you'll move on to the National Monument Park and catch a glimpse of Malaysia's past. The statue, built and designed in 1966 by architect Felix de Weldon, represents the country's independence from the Japanese occupation during WWII. After that historical bit is a spiritual experience at the unmissable Batu Caves by 3:00pm. Fall in love with this cultural exploration of Malaysia and get a taste of tradition as you walk along the limestone caves fostering Hindu temples and monkeys poking fun at tourists. Later at 4:00pm, immerse in the sleek and modern structure of Masjid Negara (National Mosque), recognizing Malaysia's freedom from oppression as well as to honor the country's peaceful unity and multi-cultural harmony delivered by Allah. The last attraction, happening at 5:00pm, is a visit to the Old Railway Station, just down east of the National Mosque. With an eclectic mix of Eastern and Western architectures, this castle-esque, Moorish-style building used to be KL's main railway hub until the Kuala Lumpur Sentral took over in 2001. Bask in the nostalgia brought by the Renaissance-like structure and spacious verandas perfect for that IG blogger pose.
