Cheongnamdae, the private vacation villa of the President of South Korea, is located north of Dacheongba, Cheongwon-gun, North Chungcheong Province. It is the private vacation villa of the President of South Korea. It covers an area of 500,000 square meters, and its name means "the warm southern Blue House". As the name suggests, it is the Blue House located in the south. It has been used as a private resort for the president of South Korea for more than 20 years since 1983. Cheongnamdae, which was isolated from the outside world for more than 20 years, was opened to the general public on April 18, 2003 during the term of President Roh Moo-hyun.
Qingnan Terrace has a total area of 1.844 million square meters. Its main facilities include a golf course centered on the main building, a sunshade house, a heliport, a fish farm, a jade pavilion, and thatched houses. Another pride of Cheongnamdae is the 116,000 landscape trees of 124 species and 350,000 wildflowers of 143 species, whose appearance changes according to the four seasons. The wetland ecological park (990㎡) here has a musical fountain, and there are 3.3km of hiking trails and walking trails on the lakeside walking trail (8km).
