Hwawon Station, which is loved by train lovers, is a place that retains the ambience of history. The unique atmosphere of the small station attracts many tourists. In 2006, a monument to poet Park Hae-soo was built in the square in front of the station, together with a water tower for steam trains, which preserves the old appearance of the only remaining golden water tower in the country and shows the beautiful history of the station. There are also murals on the walls around Hwawon Station with the theme of Yusa of the Three Kingdoms, which surpasses the simple scenic spot and has educational significance, becoming a new tourist attraction.

A museum with the theme "Parents' Childhood Memories" at Hwawon Station is rebuilt in the old Sanseong Middle School, where you can experience life in Korea in the early 1960s and 1970s. In the Memory Academy, you can see the classrooms, barbershops, photo studios, comic shops, stationery shops, and coal pellet shops of rural schools from 40–50 years ago.

Drop by Gunwi, a village with thousands of years of tradition. Walking on the beautiful stone wall road, you can also enjoy the filming locations of the Korean movie "Little Forest" and the Korean drama "Bad Mom".
