Across the Ta-Chine River lies a 15-acre piece of land that used to be fruit orchards and paddy fields. For many years now, Sampran Riverside has been working with the local community to bring back the farm to its former glory. On this tour, guests will embark on a short boat ride across the river to the organic farm. It grows fruits, vegetables, herbs, and lotus using fertilizers made from waste materials such as leaves.
While having a guided tour around the herbal and vegetable garden, guests will learn about organic agriculture through displays of natural fertilizers, composts, and insect repellents. Meet a local veteran organic farmer and find out what aspires him to remain an organic farmer. Afterwards, sample homemade herbal teas and seasonal fresh fruits before returning back by boat. The tour will continue with a sumptuous international buffet lunch that includes a selection of Western, Thai, Japanese, and Vegetarian Cuisine, all cooked mostly from organic ingredients that are homegrown or sourced locally. After lunch, they may take a leisurely stroll around the luscious gardens. On weekends, however, the Weekend Farmers’ Market can be visited if one wants to buy fresh local produce or souvenirs.
