Here are the steps to book Emirates tickets online:
Payments for Emirates tickets can be made via bank transfer, and credit card.
For more information regarding available payment methods, please visit the Payment Methods page.
The Emirates e-ticket serves as proof of your booking for Emirates flights. Show your e-ticket at the Emirates counter during check-in (either at the airport or online) to get your boarding pass. If you do not receive your e-ticket within 60 minutes after making payment, please contact Traveloka Customer Service immediately.
Compare Emirates flights by airports, dates, operating carrier, cabin and the services needed for the journey. Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus are fare types within a cabin; choosing an Economy Flex fare does not turn the flight into Business Class. A useful comparison includes required baggage and seat choices alongside the ticket.
On journeys using the weight concept, Emirates publishes Economy allowances of 20 kg for Special, 25 kg for Saver, 30 kg for Flex and 35 kg for Flex Plus. Premium Economy includes 35 kg, Business 40 kg and First 50 kg. The total weight can be divided among bags, but each individual bag is limited to 32 kg.
For a 30 kg checked load, standard Special needs 10 kg above its 20 kg allowance, standard Saver needs 5 kg, and Flex covers the weight. Compare the lower fare with the required baggage addition against the inclusive option. Flex Plus adds another 5 kg; that extra allowance only helps a traveller who needs it or values its other included services.
Saver has important directional exceptions. For journeys originating in Australia or New Zealand, Emirates lists 30 kg for tickets issued on or after 26 November 2019. It also lists 30 kg for journeys originating in Europe to Australia or New Zealand on tickets issued on or after 5 July 2024. On those eligible weight-concept journeys, a 30 kg load already fits Saver, so the standard 25 kg comparison would misstate the choice.
Journeys to or from the Americas and Africa generally use a piece allowance, subject to ticket-date and itinerary exceptions. Economy Special lists one bag up to 23 kg, while Flex and Flex Plus list two bags up to 23 kg each. The individual-piece limit matters: two 23 kg pieces do not permit one 46 kg suitcase. Business and First list two pieces up to 32 kg each under the piece concept.
For travel from Australia, New Zealand or Asia to North or South America, Emirates states that a European sector or a Dubai stopover longer than 24 hours changes the entire ticketed journey to the weight concept. An African journey with a stopover longer than 24 hours may also use weight rules. A stopover can therefore change the baggage comparison, rather than simply adding a night to the itinerary.
Under the weight concept, each checked bag’s length, width and height together must not exceed 203 cm. Under the piece concept, the standard total is 150 cm; bags above 150 cm but below 203 cm attract oversized-baggage charges. Items above 203 cm cannot travel as checked baggage.
Emirates’ dedicated seat-selection policy lists advance Regular Economy seats as paid with Special and Saver, and complimentary with Flex and Flex Plus. Preferred seats are paid with Flex and included with Flex Plus; Twin and Extra Legroom seats remain paid under the base Economy fare table. A Preferred or Twin seat remains an Economy seat.
A traveller needing 30 kg and an advance Regular seat has a different comparison from someone travelling with 20 kg who is happy to accept an assigned seat. The first may benefit from Flex’s weight and Regular-seat inclusion. The second does not have to buy advance seat selection to receive a seat: Emirates allocates one without an additional seat-selection charge when travelling.
The airline allows Regular, Preferred or Twin selection without a seat fee when online check-in opens 48 hours before departure, subject to availability; Extra Legroom is separate. An aircraft change or other operational reason can alter a reserved seat. Complimentary selection is not a guarantee that every seat type or the original seat number will remain available.
On weight-concept journeys, Premium Economy’s 35 kg checked allowance matches Economy Flex Plus’s published checked weight, while its cabin-bag allowance is higher: 10 kg rather than Economy’s standard 7 kg. Business offers 40 kg checked weight and two permitted cabin items up to 7 kg each. Comparing these products requires the actual cabin and journey, rather than assuming that the same checked weight means the same experience.
The seat-selection policy includes advance selection in Premium Economy and in Business Saver, Flex and Flex Plus. Business Special instead includes complimentary selection when check-in opens 48 hours before departure, with specific loyalty exceptions. A Business label therefore does not make every advance seat or other optional service universally included. A mixed-cabin itinerary also does not make every sector Business.
Economy’s standard cabin allowance is one 7 kg bag measuring up to 55 × 38 × 22 cm. Premium Economy permits one 10 kg bag of the same dimensions. For Business and First, the two-item allowance uses a briefcase up to 45 × 35 × 20 cm plus a handbag up to 55 × 38 × 22 cm or an eligible garment bag, with each item limited to 7 kg.
For departures from Brazil, the cabin-baggage policy permits up to 10 kg. For Economy and Premium Economy boarding in India, it specifies one piece with combined dimensions no greater than 115 cm. Origin-specific conditions and individual-item dimensions matter independently of the checked allowance.
Emirates’ Manage your booking and online check-in forms use Last Name and Booking Reference. The booking tool can display the itinerary, seat options and available extra services. Retrieving a booking does not itself complete check-in, approve a refund or establish that every ticket can be changed through the same channel.
For a Traveloka purchase, open the app or Traveloka flight retrieval. That form uses Booking ID, departure date and the mobile number used for the original booking. The Traveloka Booking ID is not automatically the Emirates reference. An e-ticket records the purchase; the boarding pass follows the applicable airline check-in process.
Emirates online check-in opens 48 hours before scheduled departure and closes 90 minutes before it. Its FAQ says that the first sector must be operated by Emirates; an EK-marketed codeshare operated by another carrier is not sufficient. For a first sector operated by Qantas, the airline directs passengers to Qantas check-in.
The airline’s airport guidance recommends arrival three hours before departure at most airports and up to four hours at some. It requires passport control and security no later than 90 minutes before departure, with gate readiness 60 minutes before for Economy and Premium Economy or 45 minutes for Business and First. These are separate airport milestones, not a Traveloka purchase cutoff.
When departing Dubai, Emirates describes baggage acceptance from 24 hours before departure, reduced to 12 hours for US-bound flights. All passengers in the booking must be present for check-in and bag drop. Paying for a ticket shortly before departure does not guarantee immediate issuance or enough time to complete these stages.
For future travel, Traveloka Price Alerts monitor prices without holding a seat. Compare the complete itinerary, operating carriers, baggage basis and useful seat inclusions.
On weight-concept journeys, the published standard allowances are Special 20 kg, Saver 25 kg, Flex 30 kg and Flex Plus 35 kg. For a 30 kg load, standard Saver needs 5 kg extra while Flex covers the weight. Directional Saver exceptions can change that comparison.
For eligible weight-concept journeys originating in Australia or New Zealand, the published exception applies to tickets issued on or after 26 November 2019. For journeys originating in Europe to Australia or New Zealand, it applies from 5 July 2024. These are directional exceptions, not a universal Saver allowance.
No. The seat policy includes an advance Regular seat with Flex, while Preferred, Twin and Extra Legroom remain paid in its base table. Flex Plus also includes Preferred selection. A paid Economy seat is not a Business upgrade.
No. Emirates allocates a seat without an additional seat-selection charge if you do not buy advance selection. Regular, Preferred and Twin selection is free when online check-in opens, subject to availability; Extra Legroom is separate. Operational changes can alter a reserved seat.
Yes. For Australia, New Zealand or Asia to the Americas, Emirates states that a European sector or a Dubai stopover longer than 24 hours changes the entire ticketed journey to the weight concept. Piece counts and kilogram allowances are different methods and must not be combined as extra entitlements.
No. Under the weight concept, each individual bag is limited to 32 kg even when the total allowance is higher. Under the piece concept, each included piece has its own limit. Bag dimensions also apply separately.
Emirates uses Last Name and Booking Reference. Traveloka retrieval uses Booking ID, departure date and the original booking mobile number. Retrieving the itinerary does not itself check the passenger in, issue a boarding pass or approve a refund.
Online check-in opens 48 hours before scheduled departure and closes 90 minutes before it. The first sector must be operated by Emirates. Its FAQ directs a Qantas-operated first sector to Qantas check-in; an EK flight number alone does not establish Emirates online eligibility.
The dedicated policy gives complimentary Business Special seat selection when check-in opens 48 hours before departure, with specified loyalty exceptions. Business Saver, Flex and Flex Plus include advance selection. The fare type still matters within the same cabin.
