EVA Air flights and reservations

EVA Air is a Taiwanese airline using code BR and is a member of Star Alliance. When choosing an EVA Air itinerary on Traveloka, read the operator on each flight: a connection or codeshare can include another carrier.

Compare the cabin, total journey time and baggage attached to the available offers. A long-haul trip and a journey within Asia can have different checked-bag benefits even when both tickets say Economy. Use the details for your actual flights rather than assuming every EVA Air reservation has the same allowance.

Choose the cabin and fare family separately

EVA Air's fare families determine benefits within a cabin. Economy fare labels include Discount, Basic, Standard and Up; the cabin label alone does not describe the checked baggage or all change conditions. Premium Economy and Business-class products have their own benefits.

Review the specific offer before paying for seats or upgrades. Not every aircraft or flight has every cabin, and a connecting segment may be in another class. A seat-selection purchase and a cabin upgrade are different services; neither should be assumed to make a restricted ticket refundable.

EVA Air carry-on baggage

Economy and Premium Economy allow one cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg. Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and Business allow two cabin pieces, each up to 7 kg. The cabin-bag size limit is 56 x 36 x 23 cm.

Measure the packed bag and keep it within the allowance for the cabin you will actually fly. If another airline operates a segment, check that airline's cabin instructions too. A generous checked-bag entitlement does not increase the permitted size or weight of a cabin suitcase.

Checked bags depend on the fare and journey

For EVA Air's long-haul fare-family itineraries to or from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Economy Discount includes one 23 kg checked piece; other listed Economy families include two 23 kg pieces. Within Asia, Economy Basic and Discount include one, while Standard and Up include two.

The ticket's applicable baggage rules govern a mixed-carrier itinerary. Separate tickets have their own allowances, so do not assume one ticket's baggage benefit carries onto another. Check the piece count and each bag's limits before purchasing an extra bag.

EVA Air online check-in

Online check-in for eligible EVA Air and UNI Air international flights is available from 48 hours to one hour before departure. Keep your airline reservation details and passenger information ready, then follow the check-in instructions for the flight.

Online check-in does not always produce a boarding pass. Some passengers still need airport document checks, and checked bags require bag drop before the applicable deadline. If a different operator flies your first segment, use its check-in process and allow time for any counter visit.

Manage your booking and issued ticket

After booking through Traveloka, keep the platform booking identifier, airline confirmation reference and e-ticket. Review names, dates, cabin and baggage in the issued documents. An airline reference helps you locate the carrier reservation; it is not a replacement for the Traveloka identifier when requesting platform support.

For changes or cancellation of a Traveloka-issued ticket, begin through Traveloka. The fare conditions and replacement-flight price determine the available options and cost. Airline self-service for a seat or check-in may be available even when ticket reissue requires the original booking channel.

Plan connections and onboard requirements

Check the operator, cabin and baggage on every flight before choosing a connection. If you plan separate bookings, establish whether you must collect luggage and check in again. Include these steps when comparing the time between flights.

Onboard seating, entertainment and connectivity vary by aircraft and cabin. Look at the selected flight's details if a particular facility matters. Avoid choosing an itinerary solely because a feature is associated with the airline generally; it needs to be available on the segment you are buying.

Compare EVA Air fares with the bags you need

Use current search results to compare dates and fare families with the same luggage requirement. A Discount fare plus an extra checked bag may suit you differently from an offer that already includes two pieces. Compare the resulting total and flexibility rather than the base fare alone.

Before payment, confirm that all travelers' names match the booking documents and that the arrival date fits your plans. Keep any baggage or seat receipts with the issued reservation for use at check-in or when requesting support.
