Here are the steps to book Qantas tickets online:
Payments for Qantas tickets can be made via bank transfer, and credit card.
For more information regarding available payment methods, please visit the Payment Methods page.
The Qantas e-ticket serves as proof of your booking for Qantas flights. Show your e-ticket at the Qantas counter during check-in (either at the airport or online) to get your boarding pass. If you do not receive your e-ticket within 60 minutes after making payment, please contact Traveloka Customer Service immediately.
Compare Qantas (QF) flights on Traveloka for travel within Australia and international journeys. Qantas is an Australian airline and a founding oneworld member. When choosing a ticket, separate the operating airline, Economy fare flexibility and any seat or cabin upgrade: each changes a different part of the journey.
Qantas Manage Booking asks for the Qantas six-character booking reference and last name. Use the airline reference from the issued itinerary, rather than assuming that a travel agency’s order number is the same code. The public service can display an itinerary and, where eligible, support seats, baggage, contact details and check-in.
For a Traveloka purchase, Traveloka Retrieve Booking uses the Traveloka Booking ID, departure date and original booking mobile number. Keep the Qantas reference separately. Qantas directs passengers whose flights were booked through an agency or third-party website back to that seller for assistance, so start Traveloka-issued ticket changes and cancellations through the Traveloka booking or support.
For flights within Australia, the published Economy comparison is Red e-Deal versus Flex. For bookings made on or after 1 July 2026, Red e-Deal carries an AUD 121 change fee per person and permits changes only before the scheduled departure date. A higher fare difference can also be payable. It does not permit an ordinary voluntary refund.
Domestic Flex permits changes until check-in closes without a change fee, although a higher fare difference can still apply. It also permits a voluntary refund before that deadline, with an AUD 121 cancellation fee per person for bookings from 1 July 2026. Neither product’s ordinary change rights continue after its deadline or a no-show.
For one domestic date change, Flex avoids Red e-Deal’s AUD 121 change fee; both can still involve a higher fare difference. That is the relevant flexibility comparison when weighing a higher initial Flex ticket amount. Flex is an Economy fare product, not a Business Class seat, and a voluntary refund is not necessarily fee-free.
Flight Credit is a separate outcome from a cash refund. For eligible Red e-Deal cancellations made before the departure date, the published change fee is charged once on first credit redemption. Flex credit redemption has no change fee. The guide requires booking and travel within 12 months of the original booking date. Older bookings have different published fee amounts, and separate channel service fees can apply.
Qantas bases international fare rules on the origin and destination countries. For the Indonesia-to-Australia Economy example, Sale lists an IDR 2,000,000 change fee per person, while Saver lists IDR 1,000,000. A higher fare difference can also apply. Saver therefore reduces that listed change-fee component by IDR 1,000,000 compared with Sale.
In that same international example, the published voluntary refund charges are IDR 4,000,000 for Sale, IDR 3,000,000 for Saver and IDR 1,500,000 for Flex. Saver and Flex include standard seat selection on Qantas-operated flights; a standard-seat fee may apply to Sale. These conditions describe that country pair, rather than every international QF ticket or every Traveloka offer.
The international example also lists a no-show fee, including on Flex. Mixing fare products can bring the most restrictive conditions into the booking. Keep airline-caused disruption handling separate from these ordinary voluntary-change examples; statutory or Conditions of Carriage entitlements can change the outcome.
On standard Qantas-operated Economy flights, Australian domestic baggage is one checked piece up to 23 kg. North and South America services use one piece up to 32 kg. International services in the rest-of-world branch provide a 30 kg total allowance. Aircraft, island-route and frequent-flyer exceptions apply, and partner-operated flights can have different entitlements.
A 25 kg checked load is within the standard 30 kg weight allowance but exceeds the standard domestic 23 kg piece allowance. The domestic traveller can reduce that load to 23 kg to avoid the excess, while an international weight allowance can be split across pieces within its total. No individual piece may exceed 32 kg.
For the international rest-of-world branch, Premium Economy and Business provide 40 kg total, with no piece over 32 kg. A traveller needing 35 kg is 5 kg above the standard Economy total but within that 40 kg total. A cabin upgrade can add comfort as well as luggage capacity, so compare it with the actual need for additional baggage rather than treating a bag purchase as a cabin upgrade.
A QF flight number can identify a partner-operated service. The operating airline matters for baggage and airport handling; Qantas Frequent Flyer or alliance extras have their own eligibility. Do not extend Qantas-operated allowances to every codeshare or combine status allowances cumulatively.
Standard domestic Qantas Economy and Business allow an overhead bag, an underseat bag and a small personal item, with 14 kg total and no item above 10 kg. QantasLink Dash 8 Q400 services instead have a 7 kg maximum and special handling for wheelie bags.
International Economy normally permits one overhead bag and a small personal item within a 7 kg maximum. The published overhead-bag dimensions are 56 × 36 × 23 cm. Departures from India have a separate one-overhead-bag rule without an additional personal item; Jetstar and other partner limits are also separate. For mixed domestic/international journeys, pack cabin luggage to the lower applicable allowance.
Qantas Economy Plus is a seat type within Economy. It adds legroom, group 2 priority boarding and priority access to overhead lockers on eligible A220, A330, A321XLR and most 737 services. It does not add extra Qantas Points or Status Credits beyond those earned by the underlying fare.
Economy Plus can be selected before check-in; once check-in opens, access is limited to eligible frequent flyers subject to availability. Some seats are in exit rows with eligibility requirements. Seat reassignment remains possible, and seats allocated free at the airport do not include group 2 boarding. This seating choice is separate from buying Flex fare conditions or moving to Premium Economy.
Business is a cabin product whose seat depends on the aircraft and sector. Qantas identifies fully flat Business Suites on A380, A330 and 787 aircraft, while other aircraft have different seating. A Business label on one sector does not establish a flat bed or the same cabin on every flight in a connection; aircraft substitutions can occur.
Eligible Qantas app and online check-in open 24 hours before departure. The published online window ends 30 minutes before Australian domestic departure and 90 minutes before international departure. Enter the Qantas six-character reference and last name; a boarding pass may still require airport assistance or travel-document checks.
The airport deadlines are separate. Standard Qantas-operated domestic QF400-and-above flights close check-in and bag drop 30 minutes before departure; a domestic flight connecting internationally has a 45-minute deadline. Domestic travel departing an international terminal and domestic group bookings use 60 minutes. Qantas-operated international QF1–QF399 flights close airport check-in 60 minutes before departure, while partner carriers have their own processes.
Online completion does not remove baggage handover, security or boarding steps. Airport check-in normally opens two hours before domestic and three hours before international departures, with specified airport exceptions. For short-notice travel, allow for ticket issuance, airport transport and those steps before choosing a departure.
Compare equivalent routes with the right operator, luggage, seating and flexibility. Traveloka Price Alerts can help monitor suitable journeys. An alert does not reserve a seat, add baggage or turn a restricted ticket into Flex.
Use the Qantas six-character booking reference and passenger’s last name. Keep it separate from the Traveloka Booking ID. Qantas directs agency-booked passengers to the original seller for ticket assistance.
Use Traveloka Retrieve Booking with the Traveloka Booking ID, departure date and original booking mobile number. Keep the issued e-ticket and Qantas airline reference for airline-related steps. Retrieval is separate from check-in.
For bookings from 1 July 2026, Red e-Deal changes carry AUD 121 per person and must be made before the scheduled departure date. Flex has no change fee until check-in closes, though a higher fare difference can apply. Flex is still an Economy fare product.
No. For bookings from 1 July 2026, the published ordinary Flex refund before check-in closes has an AUD 121 cancellation fee per person. Red e-Deal does not allow an ordinary voluntary refund. Flight Credit is a separate outcome, and disruption or statutory entitlements can differ.
The published change fee is IDR 2,000,000 per person for Sale and IDR 1,000,000 for Saver, plus any higher fare difference. Their refund charges are IDR 4,000,000 and IDR 3,000,000 respectively. Saver includes standard seat selection on Qantas-operated flights; Sale may charge for it. These are country-pair-specific examples.
For Qantas-operated flights: Australian domestic one piece up to 23 kg; North and South America one piece up to 32 kg; other international routes a 30 kg total. Aircraft and island exceptions, status entitlements and partner-operated services need their own scope.
In Qantas’s international rest-of-world branch, 35 kg is 5 kg above standard Economy’s 30 kg total but within Premium Economy or Business’s 40 kg total. No piece can exceed 32 kg. This does not make additional baggage a cabin upgrade.
No. Standard domestic Qantas Economy and Business permit 14 kg total with no item above 10 kg, across the permitted overhead, underseat and personal items. International Economy normally has a 7 kg maximum. Dash 8, India departures and partner airlines have separate rules.
No. Economy Plus is a seat type within Economy with extra legroom and eligible boarding/overhead-locker benefits. Flex changes ticket conditions; Premium Economy changes the cabin. Economy Plus does not add extra Points or Status Credits beyond the underlying fare.
No. Qantas identifies fully flat Business Suites on A380, A330 and 787 aircraft, while other aircraft have different seating. The cabin applies to each sector and aircraft substitutions can occur.
Eligible app and online check-in open 24 hours before departure. The published window closes 30 minutes before Australian domestic departures and 90 minutes before international departures. Use the Qantas six-character reference and last name; document checks or airport assistance may still be required.
No. Qantas-operated international QF1–QF399 flights have a 60-minute airport check-in/bag-drop deadline, while online check-in closes 90 minutes before departure. Domestic connection, terminal, group and partner exceptions are separate. Leave time for baggage, security and boarding.
