It is also called West Java International Airport, often shortened to BIJB from its Indonesian name, Bandar Udara Internasional Jawa Barat.
Scheduled service is limited. Scoot has flown to Singapore, and seasonal pilgrimage flights to Saudi Arabia also use the airport. Check current routes before you plan.
Domestic routes at Kertajati have been suspended and relaunched several times. Search your dates on Traveloka to see which domestic flights are currently on sale.
Bus operators, including DAMRI, run services between Kertajati and Cirebon, and the Cipali toll road connects the airport area with the city by car.

Kertajati International Airport (KJT), also known as West Java International Airport or BIJB, is a large modern airport in Majalengka Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It opened in 2018 and was built to serve the eastern half of the province, including Greater Bandung and Cirebon, and to relieve pressure on Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
The airport sits in the Kertajati district of Majalengka, roughly 68 km northeast of central Bandung. Cirebon and the northern coast of West Java are also within driving range. The distance from Bandung has long been a hurdle for travellers, which is why road links matter so much here.
Kertajati has one spacious passenger terminal and a single 3,000-metre runway that can handle wide-body jets. The terminal was designed for far more passengers than it currently sees, so it rarely feels crowded. Expect standard facilities such as check-in halls, prayer rooms, food outlets and parking.
Scheduled traffic at Kertajati is limited, and the route list has changed often. Scoot has run international flights to Singapore, and the airport is also used for seasonal Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage flights to Saudi Arabia. Domestic services have been suspended and restarted more than once as the operator works with airlines on new routes. Because of this, always check which flights are actually on sale for your travel dates before planning a trip through KJT.
The Cisumdawu toll road now links Bandung with the Cikopo–Palimanan (Cipali) toll road near the airport, cutting the drive from Bandung considerably. DAMRI and other bus operators run services between the airport and cities such as Bandung and Cirebon, usually timed around flight schedules. Private cars and ride-hailing are also options.
Cirebon, on the north coast, is known for its royal palaces, including Keraton Kasepuhan, and its distinctive batik. Majalengka itself offers highland scenery around the slopes of Mount Ciremai. Bandung, with its cool climate and tea plantations, is reachable by toll road.
Book ground transport in advance, as buses run to flight times rather than all day. Confirm your flight shortly before travelling, since schedules at Kertajati can change at short notice. For Bandung, compare the drive with flights from other airports in the region.
