Aloha Byron Bay

The room and the whole area was spotless. The room was a really good size, there were 3 adults staying and we had plenty of space. There was also a separate unit that had everything you would need for breakfast, tea/coffee, juices, bread (fresh from the bakers), eggs, butter, jams, cereals etc. You wanted for nothing and could help yourself. Adrian was lovely to speak to and very helpful. Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful stay and would happily recommend this quaint luxury B&B to anyone. The rooms were extremely spacious, like your very own studio flat. Clean, beach chic design, comfortable bedding, quiet, and very well located for downtown Byron Bay and the surrounding shires. A delightful getaway for solo travelers or small groups!

Lovely big apartment. Walkable distance to town. Staff were also really lovely.

Great location. Only a short walk to the centre of town. Good breakfast offerings in the community kitchen area.

Brenda was fabulous. Check in was so easy. The house has everything you could want and so much more. The private pool was perfect and walking distance to everything in Byron. Great spot for a girls weekend

Easy to park, good air conditioning, 10 minute stroll to town and beach. Friendly staff, free laundry facilities, excellent complimentary breakfast

Very comfy

Property is nice and breakfast buffet area a definite plus. Lady who seems to run things was not helpful, check-in was poor and our bags were left unattended with gate open when we arrived early and we’re told they would be stored. Communication was weak and passive aggressive, overall service was a shame alongside an otherwise nicely set up property.

Aloha was so cute! Loved the style of the room. Communication from staff about how to access room was easy to follow. Location was close to the center of Byron. Woukd definitely stay again.

Did NOT feel safe. We stayed in the “ground floor apartment” and there were 2 sets of ground level windows that DID NOT LOCK. The windows are at waist level and it would be super easy to climb through while the guest is away to take valuables (no lock box or safe!) or to break into the room while guests are sleeping. There is also a door in the bathroom with just a press button lock that went right to the outside. Those locks are ridiculously easy open from the outside. There is a fence around the property, but because there is limited staffing, the fence is always unlocked. Easy access for anyone! My husband said it felt “murder-y.” Maybe the area is safe, but how would a guest know? A few simple fixes like locking windows or a wooden dowel in the window track plus a deadbolt in the bathroom would’ve made a huge difference. We ended up putting some sticks we found on the property in the window tracks to keep them from opening and rigging up the door in the bathroom. I’ve traveled in some sketchy places and had to do that, but I was not expecting to pay $632AUD/night for the privilege. What a joke. I’m sure there are positives to the place. Who knows. I remember thinking it looked cute when we showed up, but all of that was outweighed by how unsafe it felt - at least in the ground floor apartment. Maybe the other rooms in the place are safer? I wouldn’t recommend this AT ALL and will continue to spread the word about how unsafe it is in hopes that the owners make changes.

This place is 10/10 - everything was perfect. Super clean, free parking, lovely interiors, aircon/heating, lovely big bathroom with a great shower, comfy beds. Couldn’t fault it!

We loved our stay at Aloha, the property was well setout, modern and clean. The owners were lovely and welcoming and provided us with fresh bread and supplies for a nice breakfast. We wish we could have stayed for longer. I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the whole experience at Aloha. The communal kitchen was well maintained and stocked for quick and easy breakfast.

Beautiful cottage-style studio, newly renovated (it felt like we were the first people to stay there), stylishly furnished in a desert-modern style, with a very handy kitchenette, and a big bathroom with a powerful rainfall shower. Bed extremely comfortable. Nice to have a bit of patio furniture. TV has Netflix and other apps. A 10 minute-or-so walk into the town centre and beach. Free parking right outside the hotel. This really is a gem of a place to stay in Byron.
