Chimes Spa Retreat

The location is lovely ( although not walking distance to restaurants so a car is needed) and it has lots of nice touches but attention to detail was missing. It advertises a pool which had not been cleaned and looked unkempt. I heard the receptionist telling someone there was an outdoor unheated pool but nobody would have wanted to swim in it. Please don’t advertise you have a pool if it’s in that condition. The duvet had a urine stain on it -yuk! We only noticed it on our last morning or we would have got it changed. The rooms need better insulation - earplugs are required. I could hear everything our neighbours were saying when in the bathroom. The receptionist didn’t even acknowledge us as we came in each day . You have complimentary continental breakfast which is lovely and hot breakfast for a fee . Nobody was around on our first day to even take an order for hot food. Overall it’s nice but just that - not anything special which it so easily could be.

Absolutely delightful. The retreat has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, luxurious and relaxing. From the delicious included continental breakfasts, to all the little amenities in the room, to a complimentary evening port in front of the fire in the shared sitting room - fabulous! Will be back!

Rooms were magnificent, spa was the best we have had. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was simple but all we needed and the gardens and view amazing. Only thing I would say is the massage procing was inflated and when i asked if the peoce was for both i was told yes, but it was only for one. $150 for 90mins is high, but this was $230 for 90 mons and more for deep tissie which was hidden in the fine print. The massages were good, my wife had to wait 5 to 10 mins before hers started becauee there was no admin for the day. While we enjoyed the massage, those things just bring it down a little. Best place tho

My spa experience was amazing ,breakfast normal continental but overall a relaxing experience

Wonderfully appointed rooms with wi-fi. Very comfortable bed. Complimentary continental Breakfast was lovely but we also appreciated the hot breakfast option. The communal lounge and dining areas with tea and coffee facilities and additional kitchen facilities were very appreciated. Nice touch with the complimentary port in lounge area! We grabbed takeaway steak dinner from the local tavern and bottle shop and drove 5 mins back up the mountain to eat in the lovely dining room at the resort. Very relaxing and peaceful surroundings of manicured gardens with exceptional ocean view from deck. Don’t forget to book a spa treatment - world class facial and massage divine!!

Beautiful location and accommodation, well equipped and very maintained. Only minor criticism is the pool which is freezing all year, needs to be heated, solar or powered. Overall though we had a really nice stay. Denmark town is a short drive away and the beaches close too. Great brewery near by and chocolate lounge delicious. Will be back.

Chimes Spa Retreat is an oasis near Denmark, WA. We regret not being able to stay more than one night to make better use of the facilities. The hotel and rooms are really comfortable and very stylishly decorated. The room facilities are good and ours had a very large tub bath as well as a shower. The continental breakfast was enjoyable.

Beautiful property with amazing views. Gorgeous comfortable room with nice amenities including a circular bathtub. Breakfast provided was so yummy and the little brownies night before in the common area so nice! I had a massage at the spa - it was great! Highly recommend!

I would stay another week just for the scrambled eggs :) They took excellent care of ne in a tranquil environment

if you want to stay in Denmark I cannot thinknof a better option

Excellent property for couples visiting this area. Well presented and maintained. Excellent buffet breakfast In general the property and its facilities could not be faulted. The complimentary tea coffee cake and after dinner port showed a fine attention to detail. Regrettably, and the only downside the owner lacked a warmth, empathy and interest in her guests at each touch point, on arrival, at breakfast and at departure ….. such a pity as she has an outstanding business which deserves to do well.

View was amazing, the facilities had everything you need, host is very accomodating! Such a relaxing getaway

Delightful property in quiet rural location with lovely seaward views. Very comfortable and spacious bedroom, spotlessly clean. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Great location with amazing views. Very peaceful, clean and tidy. Good news that the owners are aware it needs updating and renovations are about to start. Thanks to Ruth and staff for making our stay a lovely experience.

Nice views of the valley. Room was clean. Tv didn’t work proper and flickered for most the channels. The bed was uncomfortable could feel the springs and dropped off from the middle & the pillows were terrible other than that was good.

Very peaceful and picturesque location with amazing views across to the coast and inlet and access to some very nice walk trails with equally stunning views. Thanks very much to the welcoming and friendly owners (and dogs!) for a fabulous and comfortable stay. Nice selection of breakfast and the round the clock tea, coffee and chocolate cake was fab! Our room was comfortable and quiet and had great views out over the grounds and coast. Enjoyed making use of the board games. We had one of the most relaxing massages in the spa as well to cap off a great stay.
