Mantra Amphora Palm Cove

Great place to stay. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. This is our 6th trip to the area and first stay at mantra amphora. The hotel is in a great location and easy walking to everything. The day spa is lovely and Vivo restaurant is out front and it’s fantastic. I preferred it to Nu Nu to be honest. Our room was beautifully decorated and clean but on arrival the odour was so bad (think dog bones or a butcher shop) I had to go straight to Coles the next day, and buy a glade plug in and air freshener costing me $30 just to get rid of it. We looked everywhere, opened the doors, wiped the fridge, but couldn’t find the cause. This was the main downside. We had to constantly spray each day. Bed was comfy and spa bath in room was great after a long day. Pool area is busy. We didn’t get to try hot tub as it’s dominated continually by groups of guys drinking in it. Not great when you have little kids but we did swim in the pool. Overall it’s an ok hotel, very family orientated and we’d stay again but maybe look at Drift or Alamanda first as they are just a little bit nicer. Cairns is the most amazing place to visit and so much to do. Overall this hotel is a 3.5/5

Another fabulous stay at the Mantra Amphora! Very quiet, very clean and comfortable rooms with a fantastic ocean view. We loved the spa bath in our room, and the pool and spa outside. Lots of lovely places to eat and have a drink, all within walking distance. We can’t wait to stay again at the Mantra Amphora! Our favourite place to stay at Palm Cove.

Appartment was clean. Kitchenware basic. Fabulous pool and location. Great to walk next to the beach & restaurants. We could explore both Cairns & Port Douglas from Palm Cove. Loved it and will defnitely visit Palm cove again.

The condo was more than we expected! Spacious, beautifully appointed and everything we needed. The covered balcony was an added bonus.

Loved the hotel - clean, convenient, self sufficient. Beach just across the road and went swimming in the flagged area. Good food on offer at restaurants/cafes in easy walking distance.

Kitchen was great gave us the option of eating in or going out for meals. Great view from the balcony .

The staff are wonderful the rooms are in need of a freshen up as they are dated.

The upkeep of furniture maintenance was poor. It was like walking into an old roadside motel. Every wall was patch repaired and marked, in desperate need of a paint, poor lighting in the bathroom with blown bulbs, stained lamp shade and grotty ironing board, peeling MDF furniture and the bed wasn't great. It was clean but disappointing. All you pay for is location, not a decent room to stay in.
