Furniture stained and in need of a clean. Smoke alarm had partially detached from ceiling suggesting some laxness in property maintenance services. Otherwise well appointed and convenient location.

Was in a great location. Close to cafes restaurants. Walking distance to most venues in Melbourne's CBD. The only disappointing thing was we arrived at hotel 45min after booking in time to be told the room was still being cleaned due to the previous guests having a late check out. After travelling from Perth would have been nice to get into room and freshen up before heading out. Staff were very nice took luggage and stored. Contacted us later when room ready. We were given a free drink at bar. I would have thought that change over of guests would be more organised. Room was clean and we had a pleasant stay.

Breakfast was fresh Bircher muesli,fruit,breads,coursants and most hot fresh cooked food. Nice touch if you’re walking and seeing the city fresh apples and water available to pick up before leaving for the day. Very helpful and attentive staff and absolutely close to everything you need to see.

A little disappointed that Breakfast and an afternoon Happy Hour were only available at the Mantra, no actual restaurant operating for dinner. Having said that, there were plenty of dining experiences to be had if you were prepared to take a walk either to Chinatown, the Greek area or catch a tram or two to the Docklands. Buffet Breakfast at the Mantra was excellent as was the service. Unfortunately, we missed the Happy Hour as either on our way out or late coming back but saw that it was well attended.

The communications great they advised some night works were happening during our stay. They offered to stay in a quieter location and when they were informed it was my birthday they had a bottle of wine and chocolates to greet us in the room. This hotel is in a great location. Easy walk from Southern Cross station. Trams very close by and we were lucky to have free public transport during our stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation to all.

Air conditioning was not working, we went down to the front desk during the night to complain about the room temperature but was told nothing could be done. In the morning when we checked out and I again complained about the room temperature the guy on reception checked and said it was preset to 24 degrees. Car park entrance is terrible.
