Nightcap at Archer Hotel

Bed comfortable, breakfast good, bathroom good. No table in room and only 1 chair. When we ordered a meal with room service we asked for a second chair but reception staff had gone home. Food was good but we had to use the ironing board at the end of the bed for a table for us to have our meal.

Absolutely appalled by our stay at Nightcap in Nowra. This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. The biggest issue was the complete lack of reliable hot water for the entire stay. Three separate incidents of freezing cold showers over multiple days and clearly nobody cared enough to fix the issue. We reported this each time we couldn't access warm water and each time our concerns went unassisted. The facilities advertised online were also completely misleading. The swimming pool was green, dirty and unusable, yet this was never disclosed before arrival. The customer service was equally terrible. Every single time we went to reception there was nobody there. We were constantly left waiting for assistance, and on one occasion the after-hours phone wasn’t even answered. To top it all off, another family staying there told us they walked into their room to find cockroaches all over the bed. The manager on checkout (I believe his name was Harry) was rude, dismissive and clearly just wanted us gone as quickly as possible instead of addressing any of the very valid complaints we raised. No accountability, no apology, and absolutely no care for guests. This hotel was poorly maintained, badly managed and nothing like what was advertised. Between the freezing showers, unusable facilities, absent staff and terrible customer service, this stay was an absolute disaster. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

Room was nice & clean - having breakfast included was fantastic … food was nice and fresh. Really impressed with how much was included in the stay ie breakfast & all the amenities ie tennis courts, pool, pool table etc - sad that the indoor basketball courts & spa were out of order - hopefully we can enjoy them next time

The hotel was clean and the room was nicely renovated. The breakfast was good quality but needed a couple more choices - perhaps some hash browns, pastries, waffles or banana bread. The basketball half court was closed for maintenance - the tennis court could also benefit from some minor maintenance too (net and fences). Lovely staff.

Clean rooms, nice breakfast

Checked in late but it wast to do by going to the bar. Staff were really helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast was a bonus. Not a wide selection but all the basics were were really well done.

Overall, pretty good, clean and tidy rooms. we had rooms on the roadside which were noisy. Is an older place that could do with some general maintenance. Breakfast was great and the meals at the Archer Hotel next door were also great. The staff were very friendly.

Good breakfast

Everything from soundproof wall, blockout curtains plus panels are well thought out. Buffet breakfast adds a nice touch. It would be good to offer EV charging since the infrastructure of EV in Nowra is only at the outskirt of Nowra around 10 min drive away.

2nd time at the Archer. Older hotel spacious and clean. Nice breakfast plus drink vounchers for the Tavern that is within walking distance that we used that night.

A very clean, comfortable room. The bed was so comfortable. It was close by to everything and the complimentary breakfast included was a treat. Very nice and friendly staff. Will definitely recommend and stay again. :)
