Nomads Noosa Backpackers Hostel

I enjoyed staying here. Bed was comfortable, rooms were big, decent sized lockers, and good facilities. The most annoying part about the hostel is only having one en suite shower and no shower block when a lot of people are coming back / leaving for K’Gari and the sink being in the shower room rather than the toilet. Only one other toilet always accessible on the site and sink was often blocked and not the cleanest. Some of the bar staff could be quite rude, other staff were good and helpful. Nice location with a little high street close by and near to the Greyhound. Food and drinks at the bar were expensive. But generally clean and well maintained, good atmosphere and everything you need for your stay.

The toilet area walls had black spots between the tiles and the shower room walls seemed dirty. I think the staff does a great job with daily cleaning, but the hostel needs more of a deep cleaning.

Check in is a bit of a nig

It is very clean and everyone was very friendly. On arrival Molly explained everything to us and she was so helpful. I would return.

Not clean and smells bad beacuase of that we couldn't stay for more than 10 minutes and left but didn't get refunded so money also wasted.

Our stay was really nice and the place well kept. But this changed when we were checking out and had to strip our sheets off the bed to take to reception. When doing this we found black mould over the mattress and I’m not talking about a little bit. It’s was truly disgusting and after seeing that, I think Nomads needs to step up and get on top of this as it’s not good enough for how much they charge for a backpackers.

It was a comfortable stay

The premises were clean and although fairly full I must apologise for my snoring.

Location was convenient to buses, walking , shops for groceries, eateries. Staff were extremely accommodating, friendly, housekeepng / and front desk were quick to help us out where we needed assistance. Thank you for this! It was a little lively outdoors socially until the early hours of the morning so earplugs were necessary for us light sleepers. Otherwise, the room was clean and bright and bed very comfortable. We had a very nice stay in the area for our first trip here. We enjoyed meeting lovely travellers both locally and from farther abroad .

Our room could be cleaner, there was a dead cockroach inside the closet and toilet paper inside the bin. Other than that it was ok, staff is super friendly and helpful. A bit noisy but we could expect that from a hostel.

Recommend the private rooms at Nomads. Shared bathrooms are clean, with towels and soaps provided which was hugely appreciated. The bed was comfy and all facilities, including aircon were reliable. Feels secure & convenient with the access key being via the app. Staff were friendly & helpful and the atmosphere felt sociable during our brief stay. Overall would recommend, thank you!

Not sure if the 10pm quiet time applies on Saturdays as we were up till 230 with loud people around. Nice double room was clean. Kitchen amenities/working utensils is next to none, but it is a backpackers in the end

It was amazing, staff friendly and food delicious!! Need to offer some combo food and drink specials!! Very hand close to public transport and amenities!!

No social distancing or sanitisation in place other than a hand sanitiser at the front desk. Room absolutely stunk. I know it’s a youth hostel but there’s a certain level of responsibility everyone needs to be taking in these times. Very unfair to the Australian economy and everyone you are putting at risk. Entire place stinks from the piles of rubbish.

Not enough plugs in the dorms. No door on room to shower cubicle. Lights really dim. Kitchen not open early/late enough. Indoor communal spaces too dark.

Decent bed. Great showers. Lockers are a good size. Not enough plug sockets. Floor space is scarce for a 10 bed dorm. Night activities are good, lacking much beyond that. Noosa Junction is a minutes walk away for easy food and shopping. The beach and the national park are a bit of a walk away. Got a mixed feeling from the staff. Some spot on. Others mopey.
