Staff very nice but room needs upgrading

Room smelt of smoke, toilet near reception desk was filthy, pool was not clean

Nice room, everything need and tidy, clean and everything you need for an overnight stay.

Room was very budget, stains on carpet, bathroom not wiped down, worst of all there was some random person outside the door knocking playing music off their phone at 3am no security! We were worried they were going to kick the door in

Curtains in the bedroom were not properly installed so the sunlight came in unabated. street/parking lot facing room had no barrier from outside noise. Staff didn't seem knowledgable about the facility and the night staff was especially rude when asking if there was any drinkable water on the premises. vending machine was out of order and not stocked. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and the checkout process was smooth.

Location was great, room was clean and comfortable.

Staff were lovely. Rooms were clean and fresh, Gentle sound of the trams rolling by helped me sleep. Easy to get a tram to groove Brunswick street. Same to get to the city which is only a few blocks away.

Very nice room and furniture, friendly staff that knew how to do the job quickly, my only problems with my stay was the location (which I should’ve checked beforehand) and the air con which wouldn’t seem to do what I wanted at anytime so I ended up just not using it

Had to change rooms after being placed in a room that seemed unfinished, unclean, had 1 working powerpoint working, fridge that didn't have power, shower with mould and no door. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and the room we moved into was much better.

The room was reasonably clean, and the reception staff were courteous but not exceptionally friendly compared to other hotels of similar standing. I wasn't offered the WiFi password until late in the evening, after the reception closed. Most hotels would have this disclosed on arrival and written somewhere in the room or the door key The room provisions are minimal—limited supply of coffee, tea, and milk capsules. The shower head is very high, but there is no shower cap, so a shampoo with every shower is unavoidable, but there was no hair dryer in the room. I had to go to the reception to get one. The chair is very uncomfortable with a low back and well below the working bench. The sofa is slightly better with two pillows as a cushion. There was no hand or face towel. Overall, the room is spacious, with good lighting, and the bed is comfortable. The location is good my purpose of this business trip.

Reasonable room for the price

The hotel has a great location, just a short walk from the tram, which made getting around very convenient. The beds were standard and generally okay for a short stay. However, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of the experience. The room looked noticeably different from the photos online, especially the toilet and shower area. The space had a smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival, which made it more unpleasant when the rooms are specifically non-smoking. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because the listing mentioned soundproof rooms, but unfortunately, this was not the case. I could clearly hear noise from outside and from the room above us. The guests upstairs were particularly loud, walking around heavily well into the early hours of Monday morning, which made it very difficult to sleep. I understand the behavior of other guests is not within the hotel's control, but if the rooms are not truly soundproof, it might be best to adjust that claim in the description to set more accurate expectations. There were also a few maintenance issues: the ventilation fan in the toilet made a loud creaking noise, and the beds were not secured or locked in place, which made them move around easily. Overall, I was really looking forward to a relaxing stay, but I left feeling more tired than refreshed. I hope this feedback helps to improve future guest experiences.
