The Parkmore Hotel

Breakfast was included only to be told they dont do a Sunday breakfast and the Cafe they normally work with down the road is closed on Sundays. The bathrooms need renovating. Very tired and pokey. Rooms clean and well present, safe where good.

I really wanted to like this hotel. It was a struggle. There was no hot water between 5pm and 8 pm which just doesn’t do. There was no plug to have a bath. There was mould growing in between the shower tiles- it wasn’t old mould , just neglected cleaning duties. I removed this myself with a brush I purchased from Brunswick which is two tram stops away. The front door to the room was stiff and had been punched in from the outside. This hadn’t been repaired.. the curtains that were sheer in the room also had water damage on them from the window that they protect. It was a big Yellowstone. The curtains hadn’t been washed for some time.. the drawers in the bedroom was stiff and unable to be opened with ease My room was dusty and there were stains on the carpet- . The pool was faded and needed to be painted. All vending machines were empty, which was a shame. The hotel does not have a cafe but one can be found from Monday to Friday two buildings down the road. If you’re staying on the weekend you’ll need to go into Brunswick to get coffee. The stuff for friendly and helpful. One morning there was no Internet facility, so I went down to check. It appeared that the circuit border tripped and she was struggling to troubleshoot. I was able to help and I was grateful for the ability for a late checkout in return. By addressing the hot water issue and attention to cleaning detail, this place could be rated higher in my humble opinion,

Staff were friendly and responsive, however room servicing was intermittently provided, not daily (it was communicated that this was done on request, but not informed at check-in). Unfortunately the aircon also broke down a couple times. Laundered towels were not entirely dry and throughly washed. Paid for breakfast as part of the accomodation package online but was told at check-in that paid breakfast was no longer provided due to change in ownership of the motel - a small discount was provided. In terms of comfortability, the room could be a little warmer, the cool bulbs are very harsh lighting and artificial plants, a little dusty. Fantastic restaurant - Moja Duck - a reservation guest discount would go a long way considering it is the closest option for food in the building.

Filthy bathroom, junk yard in the back of the hotel in the car park. Hard uncomfortable bed. Dirty swimming pool. No room service. No clean towels provided when requested. No case stand. I will not stay here again The one good thing was a male receptionist who greeted me at night and cheerfully carried my cases. The rest didn’t seem interested in customers.

The bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Hair was evident. In the morning there was no hot water. The air con unit temp reading light was so bright it illuminated the room. The balcony railing appears rust stained with peeling paint. The pool had a large amount of debris in it. Not a hotel to stay in if other choices are available

The room was filthy, the carpet and skirting boards were rotting and mouldy. The bathroom had cracked tiles, mould and old hair in the corners, the busy street facing window was broken and wouldn’t close And all the wall, to and mirrors had dirty finger marks all over them! I requested a room change but any hope of something better soon faded as we were greeted with a carbon copy! Don’t stay there, it a slum!

The room is so old and hasn’t been looked after..that part of the hotel should have been closed and not let any guest stay there

The bedroom was in fine condition, the bathroom was not. I didn't say anything on the first night, opting to tell the staff in the morning. When I did, the lady on the front desk said they would attend to it that day. I arrived back late that night to find it still in the same condition. I immediately told the concierge downstairs and he said there was nothing he could do so he said he'd put it in the notes for my room and I would need to deal with it the next morning. I spoke to the lady in the morning and she was not aware of said notes and said that the cleaners have said they had addressed the bathroom. Only when I showed her a photo of the urine stain left on the toilet seat did she listen to me. To not have the bathroom properly cleaned for my entire stay is both not acceptable and very concerning. When I asked for some sort of compensation, I was offered $20. I don't know what I'm meant to do with that, the bathroom was unhygienic. The staff were polite enough, but I shouldn't need a photo to be believable, nor should I need to chase something like this up.

When booking an adjoining room for family, it wasn’t available and two rooms across a hall were booked. A refund for a room was promised but nothing recieved as yet. Elevator was out of service which was very difficult when getting bags and a pram with an infant up 3 levels on the stairs. Place was run down and unfinished building everywhere with the remnants scattered around hotel

Toothbrush in the shower bathroom. No body lotion in the shower. Long life milk was off lumpy in coffee. Bed clean and comfortable. Location good.

The location is good

The room is not like what I expected but the location is good, only 15 minutes walk to the Savour school

Staff were amazing! There was almost no tv reception in our room. The hot water was almost non existent and when in the shower the warm water was a drip. Room itself was clean but the bathroom looked mouldy and old. Not worth the money we paid!!
