The hotel overlooks the famous Zell lake, with breath-taking views. The hotel is well-kept, and our rooms was cleaned every morning. Breakfast is good, but could use more varieties. Friendly staff. The city center is within 5 minutes walk. The hotel is closely located to most of the attractions around (by car). I would definitely recommend the Seevilla Hotel.

Great accommodation, clean, friendly staff. Location is probably great for summer, a little out the way for winter. The ski boot room is far too get to inside. Pillows are a little uncomfortable, but other than that everything is great.

Train tracks right next to hotel make sleeping difficult. First night, our room was extremely hot due to malfunctioning thermostat Obvious black mold on all window frames inside the room are a hazard with a toddler that touches everything. Rooms are tiny, not family friendly. Otherwise, hotel was nice. Good breakfast and nice sauna.

First of all, the hotel Is a bit difficult to get to as it requires that you drive down a pedestrian walk way. Then there was s not enough parking so we had to give our car keys at the reception desk. Our room was described as a superior room however there were very few windows that opened so we had the leave a side door wide open to allow fresh air and some coolness into the room. The This presented a security risk and would have allowed tons of water into the room in the event of rain. The balcony could be accessed by a 1 foot step up. The hotel is right next to the train tracks. So sleeping was hot and noisy. We requested a room change but we’re told repeatedly that that was not possible although we observed empty rooms and guests checking out. Fortunately, we were allowed to check out after 1 night even though the website said our 4 night reservation was non-refundable

Our initial impression was not so good, but overall we did enjoy our stay here. Their advertising is somewhat misleading. We had a deluxe room booked on the ground floor with lake access - what we found out later is 80% of the photos for this room type, are actually for a room of which they have just 1. The rest are in an older building and not nearly so nice. So I suggest confirming with the property exactly what room you will be getting given the price being paid. The new rooms are in the building on your left when facing the property with the railway line behind you. The railway line and the noise from the trains may be bothersome to some although no real issue for us. The outlook onto the lake was excellent (so long as you are in the right room - see above). I would have rated this property as poor value for money - except that on check-in you are given a card that gives free access to many attractions. In 1 day this card saved us ~EUR200. So when you allow for the value of the card, the value for money with this property is actually quite good. I would recommend staying here so long as you confirm you have a room in the new wing of the property and so long as you would intend visiting the attractions that maximizes the value of the card provided.

I usually don't write any reviews, and in fact, I am a frequent user of hotels.com; but this stayed definitely deserve it. My husband and I were traveling to different states of Austria but this place stold our hearts. When we arrived, we were welcome by the owner since she was under staffed that day, and she welcome us with a free dinner which they say was included. Little details as name tags in the dinner table with our names, and tips for our stayed make a great different. They also gave us free tickets to go to Kaprun that is one of the must see places in Zell am See. They saved us money. When we arrived to the room, the magic increased, the view was marvelous. We just never used the blackout curtains, since this view was perfect for getting sleep and waking up. We definitely had our best time in Austria here, we had plans to go to a day trip to Salzburg city and we canceled it; the hotel and kindness of it, made this magic place even better. In summary, great view, nice room, good location, and kind service.

The photo is misleading. There is a small nice lawn area with a good view directly of the lake, but the location is terrible. What the photo does not show are the train tracks and mai road directly behind the hotel. There is a narrow bike path where the entrance is located. It is extremely difficult to park due to the narrow and limited spaces as well as the the constant flow of bikers. We booked our room over 10 months ago based on the photo. We pictured a lovely quiet location. The room we were given was terrible. It was dark with no ventilation. We complained to the front desk and were told we had one of the best rooms and they were fully booked. After much discussion, they suddenly had a suite available which was better. It was very hot while we there and we had to open all the windows. The trains went by every 15 minutes and it was extremely loud. The whiole room shook. We were told the trains did not run at night, but that was not true. We had a reservation for four nights. After two nights of no sleep, we demanded that they let us out of the reservation. The manager was extremely rude. We finally convinced her to give us a full refund. We moved down the street to the Salzbugerhof Hotel which was absolutely fabulous.
