Once our taxi pulled up I thought for sure we were at the wrong place. The iron gates/hotel entrance had a chain with a padlock hanging on it and the parking lot was literally empty. Now the girls at the front were super nice- this is not a reflection on them. Next, the photos of the pool area, bar, reception are NOTHING like the photos on the app. All empty and dark. We checked in, were led to a room with foil lining the toaster oven in the “kitchen” and given a key for room #73 that said #37 “for security” in her words. We set our things down, called hotels.com who tried to contact the manager who was conveniently not available until the next day- not even by phone- and they said she doesn’t have a “set schedule” so they don’t know when she’ll be there. Needles to say, the kept our money for the entire week! - no refund. I should not have trusted the online photos or reviews!!! Oh and they copied our passports which felt weird. So now some sketchy people have our family’s passport copies. I was scared to say too much because they have all our info. We had to gather all our bags and drag them down to the Courtyard Marriott which I much say was great!!! When we told the taxi driver where we were leaving from, he said- ohhhh yeah. Y’all need to go somewhere else. I could understand if they kept one night’s money, but the whole weeks worth??? I give negative stars!

The staff at Pirates Inn were very helpful and friendly. They attended to any questions asked very professionally. I would revisit again.

I couldn't believe there was no water and toothpaste in my room. The stove you have to lite it with matches but i didn't take the chance. The counter area was full of ants,which was so scary.

We liked the position and the pool, a bit basic but ok.

Everything was good no problems, apart from a damaged suitcase, sorted out with our airline and you got rid of the damaged suitcase for us. Thank you

Lovely small place to enjoy yourself! Walking distance to 2 small shopping center's! Plenty to eat around. Walking distance to the beach! Super friendly and attentive staff. I will definitely stay back here in the future.

Great value small hotel with good facilities and varied food and drink options on the water a very short walk away.

Wonderful stay at Pirates Inn, staff welcoming & caring, only 5 minutes walk to the beach & many restaurants. Great breakfast & lunch enjoyed at the Inn, thanks to all! Loved having our own kitchen, beautiful clean pool! Missing “Pirates” already! We will be back!

Friendly staff at a small personal hotel, easy walking distance to the beach. Lots of dining options in the area, including nice breakfast and lunch available at the small hotel restaurant. Nice pool area. Comfortable room.

Excellent place to stay overnight and good value for money

Great location,amazing staff,very clean hotel that goes above and beyond as far as customer service. The pool area is very nice and they have a bar/restaurant that does VG pizza and rum punch! Definitely recommend the Pirate’s Inn for a stay in Barbados..

This is a great hotel for many reasons-budget,location,safety and most of all service. The staff go out of their way to help.nothing is ever a problem! The pool area and restaurant are great spots to relax and eat,happy hour is 2 for 1 between noon and 1PM. The rooms are quite big,it’s not a new building but it’s well-maintained and very clean. Excellent location,walking distance to pretty much everything except the St Lawrence Gap. I would highly recommend staying here if you like to walk to restaurants,shops,etc..

Didnt get off to the best start, as the transfer the hotel arranged from the airport didnt arrive. Apparently the driver had had an emergency. Got a cab from outside the terminal for US$35 which was fine. Also, when we arrived, the fridge/freezer wasnt working. Someone came to look at it the next morning and sorted it out. The room was functional but clean and suitable for our needs for two nights. After the initial hiccups, the staff checked to see if we were ok on three different occasions, and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday which was a nice touch. Overall, the staff were really friendly and really tried to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks to everyone!

The atmosphere is the best and the location is awesome!!!

The property is well-situated,close to restaurants and the boardwalk. The staff is great,extremely helpful! The hotel is older but very clean,the rooms are quite spacious and the kitchen(while small)is well-equipped. The pool area is nice and they do a happy hour from noon to 1PM every day. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and is quite good. Overall a really great value,and the proximity to everything is the biggest factor,as well as the friendly and helpful staff.

The staff was welcoming, friendly and efficient and very helpful! Room was roomy and comfortable pool and surrounding area very nice

Actually, we had no complaints,and would sure stay again if we ever get back to Barbados

Very quiet and safe. Staff are lovely and friendly. Pool area was cleaned daily and very nice. Close to boardwalk. Bartender makes a mean gin and tonic and makes proper fresh squeezed lemonade on request! Will definitely stay again!
