Short but sweet, lovely hotel in the heart of everything

Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent location. My only wish is for on-site laundry, but that’s a minor inconvenience (I just don’t like going back “home” with dirty laundry). Some folks complain about the lack of an elevator, if I’m honest most of us could do with the extra steps given the amount of food and drink that one can consume on the island. I appreciate the workout! 😊

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was my sister's birthday and they decorated the room with some balloons and wr received a complimentary a bottle of wine. The front desk ladies and housekeeping were very friendly and accommodating.

Great food and friendly stay

I recently stayed at The Yellow Bird hotel, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location was perfect—centrally situated with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a modern bathroom. Overall, I highly recommend The Yellow Bird Hotel for leisure travelers. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful ocean view!

Yellow bird was a wonderful stay! The staff was helpful, accommodating and very friendly. It is located in a perfect location for walking on the gap or the opposite direction. Parking is easy and convenient. We had the ocean view room and it was amazing to wake up to each morning. Also the breakfast was very good, we’re still talking about it a month later!

Enoyed our stay

We had a nice stay at Yellow Bird. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant area is really nice looking over the pool and the ocean. There are many nice restaurants and bars near by. The hotel is a little older and worn though but clean and has some modern updates. The bar next door can be noisy late at night.

Right in the Gap. Walking distance to beach and entertainment

This will be a mixed review. The best thing was the closeness to the public transportation. Literally outside the door. Great location too being near all the night life at St Lawrence Gap, but this location helped with not really hearing all the night loudness. Check in was a bit of a disappointment. For one thing, there was construction going on that we weren’t aware of until we were there. Our room wasn’t ready at 3 but they did give us a credit at their restaurant to make up for it. Didn’t think the check in gal was very friendly, she was very matter of fact which rubbed the wrong way. Although everyone else we came across as far as staff was exceptional and so nice. The pool did need to be closed due to a glass breaking but they remedied it by letting us use the South Gap Hotels pool which is actually so much nicer than Yellow Birds pool. We did switch rooms during our stay as we wanted a higher floor for a better view. Our first room that wasn’t ready at 3 was comfortable but the bathroom mirror needed to be cleaned better. Second room was better cleaned. It’s definitely a dated property. If we were to visit again I would probably try the south gap hotel which is their sister property and right on the water. The only thing that makes Yellow Bird a better stay is the location to public transportation… They were also really sweet acknowledging my birthday…

Fantastic people excellent service

This is a great little hotel in the St. Lawrence Gap. The rooms are ok, they may stand a little renovation but all services are there. One of the two nightstands did not have a night lamp and that was a bit annoying. The pool area is very small, but the hotel is within 10 minutes walk of a few beautiful beaches and for us that was the important feature. Plenty of dining options around, if one was to choose not to eat at the hotel. We really like this corner of Barbados
