Halvat guesthouse is beautiful and has every amenity that you need for a stay. The beds are comfy, the rooms beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are wonderful. The guesthouse is in easy walking distance in the old town to shops, historical sites, restaurants and bars. Valida the landlady is lovely, so friendly and makes you feel like it's home from home. We were sad to leave but will definitely return.

The hostess was very kind and welcoming! The cleanliness was amazing and the room was comfortable for our stay. It was also a convenient walk to Barščaršija, only a 3 minute walk away and also near a taxi station so you can get a taxi if needed. Overall we are very satisfied and will be staying here again!

I had a wonderful stay at this Guesthouse. Valida and her husband are excellent hosts and very welcoming. The room and bed were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely spread and I couldn't possibly do it justice!
The house is conveniently situated about a 5 minute walk from the main square but away from the main hustle and bustle.
Sarajevo is a fascinating place and I would love to return and would not stay anywhere else! Thank you!

This was the perfect place to stay near the old town area. Bustling with eating options, local attractions, and fun shopping. Our host was the sweetest ever! So nice and accommodating. Very helpful and delightful. I would stay here anytime I am in town. You cannot go wrong with this guest house. Only one caveat: not for the disabled if you cannot handle stairs. Most of the balkans are full of stairs, and this guest house is no exception. But given that no where else has accessible areas, this is your very best option. We loved it! This is my fifth (I think!) time staying at wonderful Halvat. Valida and Mumo are the perfect hosts, the accommodation is well located, beautiful and spotlessly clean. And Valida's breakfasts are just incredible . I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sarajevo and I'm sure I'll be back again soon!

Great location, close to the main square and only 15 minutes to the Yellow Fortress. I had a single room which was clean and comfortable. It’s a bit small but wasn’t in the room much. I had a ground floor room which was a bit noisy from street traffic but I suspect that is true of most of the rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rhymes recommended good dining locations and helpful suggestions of what to order. I would recommend!

My husband and I can't recommend this Guest House highly enough! We happened across it because we needed somewhere to stop for the night. As it turned out, we loved it so much that we stayed two nights :) The location is great, the room was wonderful and the owners are beautiful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great location which is 5 minutes walk to Bascarsija. We stayed 3 days in Halvat and the host, Valida is very helpful and told us many useful information and daily life of sarajevo. Sure we will stay here again if we come to Sarajevo next time!

The location is great, close to the old town, but you can still sleep in relative silence for a big town. At first you may wonder why you booked this one, but after coming and going a few times you realize it's perfect. Breakfast was excellent, Vidala(owner) is delightful and informative.

Valida is a wonderful host - all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was cosy and homely and spotlessly clean. And breakfast was just great - especially the pancakes. We were even able to park our car in a private garage. Highly recommended.
