Hotel Astoria Palace

Took a Luxury Suite for the tub, but the condition was bad. Mold, all around wasn’t able to use it. Look disgusting not inviting. Hotel okay, Breakfast kind of boring

I found the hotel and its staff good to work with and be at. The only bit of challenge was getting to it. I used Uber quite a bit and I had one cancel on me, because, I think, it is a bit of a challenge to reach it because of how the nearby roads all seem to travel the same direction - so this adds to extra planning for drivers to get to the hotel.

Excellent property for the price-point! Perfect location on Copacabana, felt safe, extremely well kept, great service, friendly staff, impeccable clean! Reached out a lot of hotels before I chose this one, and am certain I made the right choice! Many here are run down, but not this one, it might be a little bit older but they've kept it up perfectly. Breakfast was above average, hot tub wasn't hot, but who needs a hot tub when it's 85°? AC worked perfect, rooms were big, bed was comfortable, what more could you ask for?

Hotel Astoria is considerably a budget-friendly hotel, the staff are very much accommodating however they must learn to communicate in english (the room cleaners)

Lovely location on Copacabana Beach.

Great location. Lovely upper deck with pool and bar. We spent most of a day there.

The Hotel wasn’t bad at all, I think communication needs to be worked on. I would have made an error on my reservation, reached out to them, however didn’t get a respond until the day before I was leaving, which mean I would have already got there and figure it out. I also paid $87R a night to add the second person to my room, Paid the total up on arrival when I was checking out I was asked to pay it again, I had to explain to the person that that was already paid, so I’m not sure what happen there (Communication again), but I didn’t pay that. I asked for an iron because I was going on a tour and was running late, the gentleman at the front desk said the iron was coming up, A lady showed up at the door however and asked me for the cloths, I asked her for the iron, she said she’ll take care of it, I paid $50R for that service, wasn’t happy about that but I’m going to just leave it as a misunderstanding with communication… The staff seem friendly and helpful, the few that I came in contact with. So apart from the misunderstanding it wasn’t a bad place to stay. Now that I know what to respect I will stay there again. Felt safe and it was well kept, clean… I would say just make sure you understand, what’s been offered and communication is clear and you’ll be good.

This hotel is conveniently located by Copacabana beach, a very touristy area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very walkable. Room was small. The top floor had awesome view of everything. Breakfast was good.
