Firstly I paid for a return airport shuttle as part of my room on arrival in siem reap I was told nobody would be picking me up which cost an extra 10 dollar in a taxi Upon arrival I asked the receptionist why?Was then told it was only one way despite my receipt saying it was a return My room was also meant to be a city view which turned out to be a load of metal/wooden shacks and not very a nice view at all The bathroom looked half finished and not very clean After just 1 hour I decided to book myself another hotel and leave the place as I just felt completely robbed by them in every way Would not stay here again

The room that I booked wasn’t available upon check in due to renovation, however that was never communicated to me prior to my arrival. Upon check in I was told I would be moved the next day to the room I originally booked but when I returned that evening I was told it was still being renovated and that I would not be moving rooms at all. The shower drain in the bathroom smelled of sewage. When I booked the room it stated that round trip airport transfer was included. I was picked up from the airport in a tuk tuk (not conducive to luggage). For the return trip I asked for a car and was told there would be a charge. The garden bar was not able to make more than half the drinks on their menu. The spa services were done in your room as there was no actual spa area at the hotel which does not provide a “spa experience.” I would not stay here again.

We changed rooms 3 times because the sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets were all dirty and bloody in each of the rooms. The toilet was clogged in another room and the manager came to unclog it. He left all of the dirty toilet water all over the bathroom and lied saying it was fixed, then told us we have to unclog it ourself after each use, then called our room again and made us change rooms(I guess he was guilty). The last room they put us in the shower water wouldn't drain so the bathroom got flooded with dirty water. Do not stay at this hotel. Its very disturbing how bloody and dirty these rooms are. The manager's reply was ," What do you expect its a 3 star hotel" after hearing this I called the website we booked the hotel with and got a full refund. These people have no pride and they don't even understand what a clean room is supposed to look like. Spend the money and get a sensible hotel. And do not use cambodian Dollars in cambodia. Its easier to use US DOLLARS( I wish someone told me that when I came into cambodia). I don't care if the hotel replies to this comment saying they will fix it. Their reply to me was its a 3 star hotel what do you expect. Don't reply my comment trying to save face!!

Ashia is a small hotel very close to everything, from temples to markets, and Pub street being a brief tuktuk ride away. The hotel condition is great, extremely clean and well-designed. Staff are very, very kind, polite and patient. Only a couple of tips: - Revise the breakfast design. There's no need for it to be buffet-style since it's a small hotel, but make it more flexible for people not to get tired! - Mind the training of your staff, especially in the nightshift. Teach them how to solve different problems in an agile manner. Make sure they can communicate effectively in English. - Revise your selection of tuktuk drivers. There's many of them out there who deserve a new opportunity because their vehicles are in excellent condition, they speak English fluently and are knowledgeable and can act as actual tour guides. In any case, a GREAT hotel with staff doing their best to excel at what the ya do. Akon!!!

Very helpful staff with ready-made 3 days tour in Siem Reap including the temples and the floating village. Quality of room is great for it's price. 10 mins tuk tuk ride to the pub street, and 10 mins tuk tuk ride to the Angkor temple ticket booth. Facilities are limited so I'll recommend this place for young couples or single travelers!

We stayed two nights at this hotel and had a great time. There was a misunderstanding with some tour prices, but the hotel manager rushed to correct things and even gave us a complementary massage! The hotel is even better than how It looks on the pictures. The staff is amazing. I would definately come back here.

The whole staff was very welcoming from the time we checked in. At first it felt a little too formal, but that's a cultural thing, and soon it was all very warm and familiar. Sometimes we had difficulty understanding Cambodian English, but nothing went unresolved. The free breakfast menu wasn't exactly what we would have chosen, but there were a variety of things available, and they were flexible with the choices. Their lunch and dinner menu, food, and prices were competitive with the majority of restaurants in Siem Reap. The location was conveniently near a main street, but quietly back a ways. Tuk tuk drivers were always assertively ready to take us to the central business district, but we usually walked the 2km. The driver hired by the hotel to pick us up at the airport, Huan Da (spelling?), became our daily companion for the Angkor tours. Although we didn't always have flawless communication, he anticipated what we would enjoy, and we became quite close to him.

I stayed at double bed room (no balcony) for 3 nights. I got a welcome drink, a cold towel and plates of fruits which is thougthful considering how hot it was outside. The room is clean and spacious especially for solo traveller like me. The room does not have separation (door) between bedroom and bathroom (it isn't a problem for me). Bathroom does have both nice shower and tub, amenities and hair dryer. Cons: the hot water in the shower runs quickly somehow. As for the tub, I was waiting for the hot one to come out, but it never happened. Breakfast which served in 3 options, is enough for me; eggs, sausages, toast, croissant, jam/butter, fruits and tea/coffee. I asked for the breakfast to be served outdoor in the garden, but at that time there was a stinky smell. Location: safe environment, near the main road to Angkor Wat, and peaceful at night time.It is far from the center, so you need a tuktuk (costs $2, one way). But if you like to walk, it takes about 30 mins/3K. The room and hotel is standard, but what makes staying here is a pleasing experience is because of the helpful staffs, especially this one guy who is probably the night manager (I forgot to ask for his name). He is very helpful! He did the arrangement for my Angkor Wat trip with a hotel tuktuk (sunrise, sunset) for $22, put my breakfast in a box for the sunrise trip, and helped me with mini van booking for my trip to Phnom Penh (picked up at hotel). His English is great, so you wont have any problems at all.
