Loved that it was right downtown but tucked away nicely so you could still be away from the hub but close enough to walk it... liked, but my car didnt, the underground parking it was very steep and my car is low so scraped all the way down ... wasnt a huge fan of paying for parking but this I know some hotels do though, I do like that the car could stay longer after I checked out

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds a super comfortable. Always quick professional service. Anytime we visit Ottawa we stay here.

When I arrive, the lady that was working in the evening was more than a five star rating. I give her a 10 out of 10 she went over and beyond for the customer would definitely recommend dealing with this lady 100 times over.

Hotel is outdated. Staffs were so helpful.Beds were soft and uncomfortable. For me the need to clean it properly. We stayed at the non smoking room but found a pink vape under the table in one of the rooms. Price was reasonable.

The location is fine, the staff was friendly, the place is adequate. However, we booked this place for the swimming pool. They didn’t say that it was closed. This was very disappointing for our children.

The hotel is a positive example of a conversion from apartments to suite hotel format. Staff was friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood has many conveniences nearby, plus attractions and transit are within a short walk.

The room includes a full kitchen, which is convenient, but it comes with only basic cooking tools, so don’t expect to prepare full meals easily. The property itself feels quite dated and could really benefit from a fresh interior update.

I liked the dining options in the area.
I did not like that we received a call in the morning to move our vehicle to another place in the parking garage due to cleaning of the garage. This information could have been provided on check in.
I also did not like that housekeeping knocked on our door shortly after 9a.m. and again shortly after 10a.m. when check out is 11a.m.
I do not recommend this hotel.

We chose this « Hotel » for the pool and spa they are widely advertising and learned at Check-in that they were closed for renovations. Nowhere on the hotel’s website/expedia page were any information to let the clients know about that. The kids were very disapointed. Other families checking in around the same time and were frustrated to learn about that too. We got to our room to find out it was not at all the room we had reserved. Went back to the reception to ask for THE ROOM I PAID FOR… The « Queen » bed was in fact a (very uncomfortable) spring double bed with lumpy pillows, the room was really dirty with hair in the tub, on the counter, a contact lense on the bathroom floor and cheap perfume smell… There was hair on the ice cubes on the freezer for Christ sake…! Gina at the reception was so condesending and never appologised for the missleading advertising about the pool or for giving us the wrong room etc..! We had bretter experiences in motels half the price for real… Never going back there!! It’s too bad because the area is very nice and we had a good time in Ottawa outside of the Cartier « hotel »

I was promised an early 1 pm checkout for April 20. I arrived 1:50 pm the receptionist was not aware of my requested she ask me to come back by 4 pm but I saw people checking in before . She was upset because I show her my email from March 28 about the granted request. I come back by 6 pm, the new receptionist was very nice. It took my VIP request from Expedia. The room does not have extra blanket my husband sleep in the bed because his back issues and I use the sofa bed . There is only sheets. The shower has 2 containers with shampoo. They left my hair very hard and dry. They do not have smart tv. Cannot watch my shows. We do not use all the amenities but the stove is outdated the kettle is not electric, it took time to boil water. They have 3 big towels and 2 facecloths. Cartier suites are average place for a family. But for us a couple it seems outdated. Good walking distance to places quiet streets . The hotel had as decent place at night to have some arepas and some drinks.
