The property is located in a residential part of Halifax but close to tourist attractions like Citade andl boardwalk. The room was comfortable but rather Spartan a chest of drawers or a table perhaps. Excellent location great staff great neighborhood.

Let me start by saying the people who run this place are the nicest. Nothing but warm and welcoming ladies we encountered in the afternoon and a couple of gentlemen later on at different times. With that said, the place is undergoing renovation (as of June 2025), so be prepared for things to be a little messy. I would say most reviews of the hotel being run down with mold are incorrect, as we had a room (310) in the front of the hotel which was perfectly fine (except for the loud air conditioning which if you think about it, acted as white noise). Neat bathroom with decent soap and fixtures, while beds although small (I’m 5’10 and my legs would go overboard) were comfortable. Considering the price, it’s a great place for a night!

The area is nice and quite and close to downtown. Not enough parking.

It’s kind of dirty when u enter the building but clean inside the room. AC noisy, shower head appears old, can’t be adjusted. New microwave and fridge. Noisy due to renovation which was a year already, as per previews reviews. Bed quiet low for tall people. Some staff friendly. Quiet neighborhood, no incident while we’re there, 2 nights…many restaurants around,uber comes quick. Nways, you get what you pay for. It could have been 3-4 stars if not for the noise of construction hence the building is not that organized and clean yet.

I would encourage you to ignore most (if not all) of the negative reviews. This was a perfect place for a short stay. Contrary to what others have said, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant and efficient. The building is old, but definitely not decrepit. It was decently maintained. You don't really get many amenities, but counterpoint: adjust your expectations. If you're realistic about what you're getting, which is a basic place to stay at night while you spend your days doing, you know, touristy Halifax stuff, you won't be disappointed. I'd happily stay here again.

This is a great location near downtown, plenty to do just outside the door. The building is worn and sound travels easily through the walls. There is no local TV available, only casting. If I'm traveling solo I would stay there again, probably not if I were with a partner. Adequate accommodations at a good price point.

Great all around. Cold room on the hot nights is amazing

Stayed for 4 nights. Had to ask for fresh towel set after the second night and was able to receive one towel and 2 face cloths. As a last choice then maybe be able to stay at this location.

Great to stay if you need to stay somewhere on a budget. No frills but exactly what I needed.
