Delta Hotels by Marriott Saint John

Staff were helpful in switching rooms when couldn’t sleep due to street festival outside our window.

It is a good hotel, but a little old. We were lucky to get the complementary parking. It is very close to the harbour and restaurants. The staff was very helpful.

Staff at front desk were amazing! Great service at MIX bar as well as at the breakfast.

We had a very clean room. We arrived late and everyone was helpful. Our vehicle was too big for the parking deck and valet parking was no problem.

This is an old property with a bit of lipstick on it. My shower curtain smelled badly of armpits, the carpets were scuzzy. The bed was clean and comfortable though. And the staff were very friendly and comfortable. But over all I’d say a 6/10.

It was a good stay except for the fact that there were very noisy guests shouting in the passage ways late at night. It was very disruptive to sleep.

Room blew a fuse twice left with no power and then the AC didnt work so we had to move rooms at 2 AM. Staff did help quickly but didn't even offer an apology.

Good stay. Clean and very comfortable beds. Good size rooms, nice pool, inviting atmosphere. However, parking situation not great. I realize parking garage isn’t only for hotel, but not marked clearly.

Cups missing, no decaf tea or coffee, 2d key not programmed. Instructions regarding driving to 6th level of parking lot were confusing. Parking lot is dingy, dirty, poorly lit. I accidentally parked on 3 to find shopping mall entrance instead of hotel on 6. Different banks of elevators -- main lobby staffed, mezzanine understaffed.

Our stay at the Delta was just okay. The staff were all very helpful and courteous, but the hotel itself was definitely in need of some updates. Location to things in St John was GREAT. It was only a few minutes walk to restaurants and the Harbour front, and a quick drive to our ferry the morning we checked out. Here’s the disappointments: our first room smelled of lingering cigarette smoke so they offered us a new room, which was somewhat better, but still had that lingering smell. When the AC was running it kind of helped. The bathroom was clean, but the sink drained slowly and the shower head was oddly low. Everything just seemed so dated in the entire hotel. Also, the Saturday night noise in the hotel was pretty bad. The room doors slam when they shut and our neighbors had their tv blaring past midnight—we could actually figure out what movie they were watching it was so loud! It’s a big and busy hotel, so I guess you can expect that sometimes. Finally, parking was close by, but somewhat difficult. The valet parking area outside reception was so clogged and it was unclear where to safely park to unload our luggage at check in, so we parked in the designated pay lot next door but then had to lug our bags through the garage and down a steep area to get into reception. Again, busy hotel on a Saturday..? Overall, we probably would not stay here again.
