This recently built hotel is nicely appointed and well staffed. The location is on the outskirts of town which is a drawback if one needs to go back and forth from town frequently during the day. There is some road noise as it is located on a busy roadway.

I booked Fairfield Inn & Suites Kamloops for July 12th, but when I arrived, I was told there was a water leak in my room and was sent to Best Western Premier Kamloops instead — without prior notice or any compensation.
The replacement hotel was a clear downgrade: older room, loud A/C, and no parking available. I booked Fairfield expecting a certain standard, and this experience did not meet it.
Very disappointed with the lack of communication and service recovery. At the very least, a voucher or partial refund should have been offered.
