The Kingston has all the things I love about travel. The building itself is really old. My room was a twin with a sink and a shower down the hall. It was clean, comfortable, and felt like a real place instead of a generic hotel room. It's owned by a local family and a lot of the staff is part of the family. It's the first place I've been where the overnight staff was super accommodating. If you need perfect linens, expensive soaps, and a high end bar, its not for you. If you want a quiet and comfortable space in the best location in Vancouver, it probably is.

Lovely boutique hotel. Thoughtfulness resounds everywhere you look. Loads of old school touches from the fixtures, furniture, wall paper and architecture. Modern mattress for a great sleep. Good shower. Will come back.

A/C-Heat was good did not use parking. Staff was friendly and the room was cozy. Location was excellent for downtown a 10 minute walk to just about any where...food and tourists attractions. The price was an excellent deal as well.

Clean but very small room. Great downtown location if all you need is a bed during a business trip or conference. Shared bathroom seemed to work out OK as I never had to wait to use it.

Clean room. Helpful staff. Bathroom in my room was excellent. Comfortable bed. Had a lot of character. Only concern is the lock on door, it’s my preference to have a key card for fear I would forget to lock my door.

Small rooms but good for the stay and price. Good location. Need to book with private bathroom or else you have the shared ones. No visitors after 10 pm. After 10 pm you need a proof of stay to get back inside.

The hotel is quite quaint and well situated downtown. Our room was very clean and tidy. It wasn’t simple to adjust the air conditioner as it was quite hot in the room. A coffee machine would have been very nice to have.

Good location, close to Sky Train station. Priced decently I guess. This is an old building with its quirks. So expect walls to be a bit thin. AC unit blasts to your face on one side of the bed no matter the setting. Storage policy is great though! You can leave your baggages in storage till midnight of your checkout date!

I was surprised at the shared bathroom and size and age of the room, despite the cost. Twice as expensive as Toronto, LA, or even Houston. Disappointing.

We had a bad experience staying at this hotel. There was no toilet or bathroom in the room, no TV, the bed was too small for two people, and breakfast only had coffee and nothing else. The hotel had a terrible smell of old clothes and we were very dissatisfied. The price for the hotel is not low at all; they charged us $404 per night.
