Super 8 by Wyndham Watrous

Felt like staff was burdened as soon as I came into office for my room key. Just no pr skills. To start guy said why didn’t you book with us instead of Expedia, because he didn’t make as much. I told him it was a him and them problem, not mine. Arrogant and entitled. Throughout my stay the room wa stately kept up. Coffee would be randomly filled. Kitchen had barely nothing to use. Worse than a dollar store can opener which didn’t work, they had given me a worse one than I had , minus the rust on it ! It might be more modern than other places in town but that made me want to downgrade on accommodations next time to avoid helping owners prosper who don’t care about the customers scenario. Plus a breakfast is supposed to be included, which it wasn’t. A lower budget place with people who care about their customers needs and stay, is where I would rather support and help them succeed:) Just remember to support good businesses and not bad ones like this!

The room could have been cleaner, not much for breaky in the morning? I'm not sure why

I wasn’t happy when I phoned for a room and it was $50 more than Expedia. They had issues with my credit card so booked with Expedia. That’s how I found out the rate difference. Also the breakfast was horrible! Bread was very green with mould. Milk was expired. Yogurt was on its last day before expiring. The room was however very clean. That’s why they got a 3 star rating.

Arrived and attempted to check in. There was no front desk staff present. Sign on desk asked to use phone on opposite wall to let staff know you were there. Attempted this twice. No staff appeared so left property and returned 20 minutes later to try again. Rooms were clean. Check out was stated as 11:00am. At 10:30 cleaning staff knocked on door and returned at 10:50. At 10:50, cleaning staff did not knock, but rather attempted to simply enter the room. There didn’t seem to be any communication between desk staff and cleaning staff to communicate guests that had checked out. When, checking out, no desk staff was present.

Older room, cramped but clean. Requires updating, paint peeling. Bread in breakfast room was old. Office door locked in morning.

Lack of customer service. Couldn’t find where to eat breakfast. Very poor set up. My sister and I were not impressed.

Some guests don't seem to realize that others don't appreciate their loud conversations outside the front window early in the morning. American tourists, we suspect! We used to live at a CN rail divisional community, so the train wasn't as much of a disturbance in this case.

The rooms are well appointed (except for cutlery and dishes. However, the housekeeping is lacking. The common areas such as stairs are dusty and dark. The vending machines are a joke. Other than that, your average roadside hotel.

The property is easy to access and near where we want to go. The guy at the front desk was more than helpful. He really did a good job assisting us. On the other hand, it wasn't so clean, there was a smear of poop on the side of toilet seat when we arrived. The breakfast can be improved.

The woman who cleans here was super sweet and has many responsibilities. Our room was spacious and had a very nice new shower. Sadly the walk ways were dirty and unkept. The breakfast room was a sad story. No pride of ownership shown there. No napkins or wipes. Pancake machine not working. Cereals not topped up. Milk past due date and spoiled. No tea. The floor under the coffee machine is rotting from water damage. Counters sticky and dirty. That part was very dissapointing. There are lots of trains that go by here, but only noticed the noise one one morning out of 3.

An average motel, but clean. Clean linens & room was clean. But water on the floor from defrosted mini-fridge. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. Pancake maker did not work. Toaster did not do a good job of toasting the bread. So no hot breakfast options.

Poor communications, especially as to what was were, how to operate tv, how to connect to internet.

Nice spacious room. Clean,liked the kitchenette. Check in wasn't great as front desk guy wasn't welcoming. Advertised free breakfast was not offered, as front office was locked and no one available in the morning.

Quiet, clean and comfy bed. All we needed for an overnight stay. Wifi code didn’t work properly, but not a big deal.

The hotel room was comfortable but is dated in the stairwells. Breakfast was very sparse.

Some hair in the bed. Nasty. Was given clean sheet

This hotel is pretty good for the money. It was quiet and has a cute little kitchenette… I had read other reviews that said it kind of lacked dishes and silverware so I brought my own!! The little coffee pot was kind of broken, but I figured out how to use it The beds are so comfortable. We like that part that air conditioner works very well.
