I travel a lot, sometimes for business and sometimes with family. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and I have to say, my recent stay at the Fairmont Winnipeg will be remembered as one of my best hotels stays ever. The check in was great, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. You can tell when someone is enjoying their job, as opposed to just doing their job. They helped with getting me a dinner reservation, and even remembered that my son and I were there to see the How To Train Your Dragon symphony when they sent up a thank you card and a treat. Every single team member had a smile on their face when I saw them. My compliments to the hotel and the entire team. I'll be sure to stay here again. thank you.

We stayed at the Gold floor for New year a few times over the last decade. The staff is always great and the helpful. My issues are more towards the management. The building is almost falling apart. 1. Sauna didn't function properly. 2. A couple of receptacle and lights didn't work in our room. 3. The room safe didn't work. 4. The cordless phone didn't work. One person had to manage the entire gold floor by himself. I mentioned the issues during check-out and the receptionist handled the complaint very professionally. I really hope that management will start updating the hotel soon.

When we checked in they informed us there was no water. They had planned this in advance and not informed us. We had even called in advance to confirm our reservation twice and they failed to tell us over the phone. Unfortunately we were unable to shower for an even we had which was the reason we were staying overnight and booked the hotel. The entire thing was a fiasco and their service was dreadful.
