This was a lovely hotel that was so centrally located that everything was a 15-20 minute walk in every direction. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel for its location, staff, quality of rooms and ease of getting around.

It was fine. I like this hotel and have stayed there several times over the years. Was a bit disappointed the sauna was out of commission but I understand that maintenance/refurbishment needs to take place. I also find there is a difference between booking direct and booking through Expedia. When I have booked direct, I can typically get into my room earlier that 4:00pm but forget it if I have booked through Expedia. I ordered some room service and an hour later, it still hadn't arrived. When I called after an hour, the person on the phone told me that the kitchen got slammed and that was delaying my meal. He said that he'd try to get the kitchen to make my dinner and then it arrive about 5 minutes later, cold. Finally, I had a dining credit that had not been applied to my account so I couldn't do the mobile checkout. Ultimately these things aren't deal breakers, so I'd stay again even if I was booking through Expedia to get a better deal.

We so enjoyed our 6-night stay at this wonderful establishment. The location is ideal for walking absolutely everywhere we wanted to go. It's incredibly convenient (and affordable) to take the Skytrain from YVR to/from the property. Our room, a King Executive Suite, was everything we could wish for--comfortable, spacious, clean, luxurious, beautiful view, quiet.. The marble bathtub was an unexpected luxury. The L'Occitane bath products were amazing. The duo thermostats kept our room temp comfortable the entire time. The housekeeping staff was professional, kind, and prompt. If I had to mention one thing that was subpar, it would have to be our check-in experience. The gentleman who checked us in was surprisingly unwelcoming and cold. And, we had to ask for a map of the area three times before walking away empty-handed (we finally secured one at a later time, great map, btw). However, once we arrived at our beautiful room, we felt incredibly pleased. We hope to be back to the Sutton Place Hotel sometime in the future.

Staff was incredibly helpful. My daughter and her friend completed the Ironman 70.3 in Victoria the day we checked into the hotel. They both needed to box up the bikes and get shipping labels printed, and the bikes were to be picked up by a shipping company after we checked out. It was a logistical nightmare and the staff acted like it was their pleasure to help them get it all done. Martin was amazing!
