Surrounding areas are clean and comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly and speaks English. Easy access to banks and other facilities. Highly recommended . Area is secured and very safe, no problem to walk alone at night. Opposite the hotel is the international financial center with good food outlets or you can walk further down to taste various types of Chinese food from different provinces.

Just a short stay. Breakfast was ok, staff really nice and helpful. Room was very spacious and clean with two bathrooms and tv. A king size bed and a sitting area. Definitely will use it again. Small hotel but great for families with kids.

Noisy in my room. Change room three times. Animal sound at night. Front desk made mistakes and removed breakfast from my room, needed to get out of the cafeteria and went to front desk for verification. They also charged me for room change fee because the room was upgraded.

Changed room twice, too noisy with duck sound from outside. Breakfast forgot to include for my room even I booked it. Was asked to leave the cafeteria and disputed for it afterward. Back feeling. Will not book this hotel anymore.

TV works fine. To add more English channels. Did not try the lounge
Maybe next time when I visit the hotel again. Short walk to nearby food court . There is a shop selling clothing and shoes opposite across the road. Many varieties of food for breakfast in the 2nd floor restaurant.

Won't ever stay in this hotel again. Luckily i was just transiting in Zhuhai for the night before heading to HK. Shower was leaking because the shower head wasn't suitable for the shower tub was mess, after every shower the whole toilet would be flooded. The room was old, fixtures were wooden and old. Wasn't dirty but it wasn't comfortable. Very bad. Only the hotel reception was nice and allowed me to check in although the have not received confirmation from Hotels.com !
Hotels.com: your service in China is terrible ! countless times when i have booked through Hotels.com in China only for the hotel to tell me nothing has been received when i have reached.

I have stayed at this hotel at least twice per year for the last 12 years. But this may be the last booking because the service from the Hotel Managers was again very, very poor - and has been getting worse over the last 3-4 years. Reception and restaurant staff are helpful but speak little English. The Mangers English is almost zero and have a very poor attitude to helping customers. The bar was closed each night at 7pm. Good points; breakfast, room, price, close to ferry terminal. This is also the findings of 4 of my colleagues who were also at the same hotel. Star City, you need to improve or you will lose a lot of business:(

The hotel location is good, it locates right next to a bus station so and you can take the bus (no. 13/26) to most of the shopping malls. There are also some local restaurant at a short distance.
But the air-con was broken, we called and waited 30 mins for the service to come. The first staff was came to see what happened, which i have told clearly to the front desk. It then took another 15 mins for the technician to fix the problem.

Stayed here a few times before. Reception is always slow both booking in and booking out. The hotel needs some t.l.c. as décor is getting tired and needs attention. Shower tiles need re-grouting. Restaurant is OK and breakfast is good. Good wi-fi in room. I would stay again as it is only a short taxi drive from the Zhuhai ferry from HKI Airport.

After reading the reviews of this hotel, we had low expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised across the board. The service was spot-on, the room was comfortable and clean, and everything worked efficiently. Also, the Internet was a pleasant surprise. It's not fancy, but we would stay there again.
