Area is nice and close to everything. Train is right in front of the hotel. The room is pretty small and a bit dated. The bathroom is quite small which can be inconvenient if you are sharing room with someone.

Since 2013, I have been visiting and staying at this hotel and it is among the top hotels in Guangzhou.
The front desk features one of the best staff members, an Indian gentleman named Mr. Kulvir.

Old hotel but in very good condition, very friendly staff and almost all speak English , amazing Garden inside the hotel. Great breakfast with choices even for vegetarians. Around the area there is a lot of nice restaurants that serve Mediterranean food for the one who are not used to Chinese cuisine.

This is a time-honored hotel opened decades ago as an official hotel for the Guangzhou Foreign Trade Fair. Today it is still a luxury hotel with many decor updates so it feels fresh and new while keeping a beautiful traditional vibe. The dim sum at its restaurant is quintessential.
There is a direct bus service from the hotel to Hong Kong International Airport - around $20. Super convenient.

This is the first and forever five star hotel for the Cantonese at the old city centre of Guangzhou. When I am visiting my hometown, I stay at my “home hotel”. As simple as that lol

Overall, there is no issue staying in the hotel. Unfortunately, there’s a restaurant called “ T H E P E A C H B L O S S O M “, it gave our family very bad experience on our last day trip at Guangzhou. We booked “ Yum Cha “ at one of their function rooms at 8:00 am.
After placing about 15 plates of Dim Sims, it took almost one and a half hour ( 9:20am ) to serve the first one dish. Chased 2 times and foods had not come. We had to mention that our flight departing at around 1:00pm, dim sim dishes were started to come one by one.
Further, it cost us CNY 48.00 per head, in order to have a private function room. It is so called “ Tea Price “. There were 7 adults, and it cost us CNY 336.00 and this does not include Dim Sims dish.
We feel that price we paid does not equal to the service provided and food quality.

Old facilities, check in counters are temporary only . Room is small. Staff is not very helpful when room is not available, instead of sending my luggage to room when available, my luggage is checked at concierge and mixed other luggage ready to leave . So later when I came back , I have to repeat the check in process again plus locating checked luggage. It could have been frictionless but hotel decided to have guest themselves take care of everything

Facility is a bit dated (liked no usb outlet) but overall is clean and effective. The garden in property is beautiful. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Central location and Metro station is about 3 mins walk.

I like this hotel's location most and room facilities. however, the first floor hallway is very disappointed - the entire floor is just like a resturant and coffee shop, even worse, there is no any seat in the waiting area!!! Here I remember in 1980s, many seatings in the first floor, now I have to stand there waiting for an hour to sort out the booking issue, terrible!!!
