This is a very nice resort. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are great. One thing to improve would be to lift the restrictions to order food from the swimming pools from 12 to 3 pm because they want to force people to go to the restaurants for lunch, but people should be free to choose.

Muy agradable, comida, playa muy limpia, muchooo vendedor pero es a veces inevitable. Lo único q tengo queja es el transporte de un hotel al otro. Cuentan con varios carros de golf para transportar, pero sus horarios no son muy convenientes para los q madrugamos. En general muy bueno

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel! It's in a fantastic location, and the food is just amazing. It's also super kid-friendly and has a modern vibe that we really appreciated. Plus, it’s packed with great amenities. The service was top-notch too!

I really loved the hotel. The bungalow rooms are nice. You see nature and the beach is nice. Sand is dark but soft. Breakfast buffet is very good. Food at the restaurants is very good and not expensive at all. Every one was very friendly. I would like to come back again.

The hotel is very close to the airport and offers an efficient free pickup service. The architecture and the interior design are extremely tasteful and are harmonious with the landscape and the building styles of the region. The staff are attentive, helpful and competent. The room was very well equipped and comfortable. We had a stunning view of the sea and mountains. There are several large and attractive swimming pools, including slides. There is a lake where you can look at iguanas. The hotel backs onto a (not private) beach where a helpful member of staff will provide you with seating. The beach is functional - not the most beautiful but clean enough and the water is calm enough to swim in. The whole setup is fantastic for kids. The buffet breakfast (included in the price) was excellent in variety, quality and quantity. The Irotama - in its cuisine, design and activities - clearly seeks to showcase elements of the regional culture. As far as big hotels close to the airport go, this one offers a relatively "authentic" experience. Two small gripes. The pools close at 7pm. The lunch and dinner options (not included in the price - we went for the "budget" options) were not up to the quality of the breakfast. In summary - if you want to relax and enjoy a bit of luxury in beautiful surroundings in a convenient location by the sea, this is perfect. On the other hand, if you want to visit picture-postcard tropical beaches you're better off staying nearer Tayrona park.

Our entire stay was wonderful. We adventured to various destinations (Santa Marta, Minca, and Tayrona). The staff was very helpful in getting us to and from these locations (getting back from Tayrona would have been difficult without their assistance in setting up a taxi both directions). They were also extremely helpful in answering all of our questions throughout our stay. We really wish we spent more time in this wonderful resort, as it has many amenities, including multiple very nice, clean pools, bars and restaurants, beach access (private, however vendors will hassle you constantly to buy their product or service), and a wonderful atmosphere. The only knock we have is that the restaurants are relatively sub-par, although there are several options. This area of Colombia does not have many English speakers, so come prepared with a little bit of Spanish and a language translation app; it will help a lot. Some of the staff know enough English to help out, but it’s best to have your app handy.

Irotama fue muy buena experiencia. Todos los trabajadores muy queridos. Hasta el perro de nosotros lo trataron súper bien! Le dieron cama y todo! Volveremos a pasar vacaciones en el Irotama.

The place is as described on the page, it feels like home and the view from the balcony is beautiful, you can see the sunrise, the pools and it is full of trees and many little birds. The food is delicious, they have a different menu, I was traveling with my daughter and she enjoyed it. The only horrible thing that happened to me when I arrived at the hotel, they couldn't find the check in and that was when I showed the payment and the confirmation number. It was horrible. I waited 1 hour and nobody knew anything. My aunt, who was the one who did everything in the USA, called hotels.com and they called me and the charge and everything appeared, but at the hotel nothing, very disorganized, terrible. If you bring a girl, they ask for the birth certificate to enter. El lugar es como lo describen en la pagina, se siente como en casa y la vista desde el balcon es bellisimo puedes ver el amanecer, las piscinas y esta lleno de arboles y muchos pajaritos. La comida es deliciosa tienen un menu diferente, yo viajaba con mi hija y ella lo disfruto. Lo unico horrible que me paso cuando llegue al hotel no encontraban el check in y eso yo mostrando el pago, e lnumero de confirmacion fue horrible fue 1 hora esperando y nadie sabia nada, mi tia que fue la que hizo todo en USA llamo a hotels.com y ellos me llamaron y aparecia el cobro y todo, pero en el hotel nada muy desorganizados terrible. Si llevas una nina te piden la partida de nacimiento para entrar.

everything was a logical walk from our bungalow, a lot of natural spaces, it shows the café taken to maintain the plants and vegetation. Clean. Well kept. As a matter of fact there's some remodelation going on
