Coco Beach Hotel

Found used ear plugs in the sheets which tells me the sheets hadnt been changed after past customers used them. Music blared outside until 2 a.m. making it difficult to sleep. No hot water.

Staff was nice. The room has a lot of spider webs especially in the bathroom. That’s an easy fix other than that it was simply ok.

The room was dinghy and neglected. The shower barely worked, the TV did not work, the wifi did not work, the view from the front door was a rusted roof over a rough street scene. The staff was not friendly, helpful or really hardly present. This room might have been appropriately priced at $25 for the extreme low budget traveler who just needed a bed, toilet and a (sort of) shower… the topper, the room was a complete buzzkill for any romantic physicality my wife and I had in mind.

Place was clean and everyone was helpful and nice. Kind of like a motel but right in the middle of everything. Highly recommended.

The place is like an average motel. Location is good, center of coco beach, but it gets noisy at night (people drinking in the street, yelling). The room was old, not a lot of lighting. AC worked great. For one night, it was ok. The posting mentioned parking, but when we asked for it, it was a few buildings away in the back of a property, looked like a ditch. We parked on the street instead. There is no elevator for luggage… There’s a casino downstairs. Didn’t try breakfast.

STAY AWAY , it is not what it used to be many years ago. Filthy, dirty. room falling apart in all areas. Toilet broken. Faucets.frig. you name it. Breakfast was old,Only had once.Pool area was sold . Said had pool offsite. Now rooms but up to back of building. Reception was a table.should not be on expedia.

The person at front desk did not explain anything. The TV did not work, there is no pool at the facility and the breakfast if next door apparently but we were only given one pass for breakfast and not for both of us so we skipped it.

The owner Perla was an excellent host and her staff. The location was convenient but noisy on the strip. The Club was fantastic.

We made last minute reservations for a weekend so this served the purpose. The location was convenient, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I returned. There is access to pools at two other locations but we bought a day pass at a closer hotel that had a nice restaurant and pool. Hotel is a 2 block walk to the beach and located in the middle of the town with many restaurants and tourist shops. The room was quiet even though there was a lot going on very close by. One queen bed had only one pillow. We asked for a second but never received it. Breakfast was tasty but there was no menu, and with the language difference, we had to look at what others were eating to order our food. The room where breakfast is served felt a bit like a large storage room with an old couch and chair mixed with the tables and a sheet covering some furniture. Also in the breakfast room, the Christmas decorations were still up at the end of January but looked like they might have been there for years. Not sure if the bunny pictures with chinese writing were easter decorations or some type of logo for the casino. Front desk help and the gentleman cleaning rooms were very pleasant and helpful. Water pressure wasn't too strong and water was lukewarm for a shower. We were able to get one of the off street parking spots and the car was safe there. Only two bath towels were provided versus the usual four, but they did have terrycloth robes.

TV did not work, safe did not work, toilet did not always work, AC was very loud and did not always work properly.

Had an issue with an online booking and staff not only would not help, they kept the money and said “so sorry”. Booked the two rooms we asked for right out from under us while we waited in the lobby with our luggage and then offered no suggestions for transportation or assistance in finding other accommodations. We loved our stay in Costa Rica and at this hotel was the only time we had a bad experience of any type.

It’s a great location if you want to be in the middle of the action. Staff is wonderful & friendly. It’s inexpensive & clean so no complaints.

Loved my stay at Coco Beach Resort, and the location couldn't have been better. So close to all the restaurants, shops, and the beach. Service was very friendly. I ended up staying for a week and my room wasn't cleaned once during that time or towels replaced, but I'm sure they would have had I asked. Was very clean when I moved in!

Facility is extremely dirty and there wasn’t hot water for shower. I want a refund on this booking.
