This place was great. We arrived early and found that we were upgraded to a room with a private toilet and shower instead of a shared one. They gave us a key right away even though we couldn't get into the room until later which was fine because we were plannjng to spend the day away and weren't sure what time we'd be back. Kitchen was good for cooking tea. Breakfast in the morning was good. Staff were friendly and helpful!

I stopped overnight as I had a visit just up the road, and the place was clean, tidy and the staff friendly. The town itself's good too - no litter, nice shops, just what you want.
Only one minor criticism - the one window blind wouldn't work - perhaps roller blinds or curtains would be an idea, other than that, the place was spot on - lots of power sockets too for the techno amongst us who have two phones, laptop, ipod....

The title of the hotel suggests that this is a hostel rather than a hotel, and this is very true. It looks and feels like a good quality youth hostel where you get your own room and bathroom but have shared kitchen and eating area (and TV area too though you have one in your room too).
This suited us perfectly as we were staying for several nights and prefer self catering, plus as we were meeting family there, we could all get together to eat and chat in comfort.
If you are looking for a hotel, this may not be for you, but if you want to be comfortable with access to a kitchen then this could be good for you.

The room was very large and clean. The location is 15 minutes from Legoland and other attractions. A nice breakfast was offered for $65 DKK although there is a small bakery is 1/2 a block away so if you want to buy your breakfast there you can.

I was in Denmark for supporting Macedonian handball team at EHF Euro 2014 and I stayed in Brande for 7 days, which is 20 km or 15 minutes by train from Herning where the matches were playing. I'm very satisfied of Brande Danhostel first because of its great location and then because is peacefull place for holidays or trips like this!
