Viva Heavens by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive

Small, older resort. Rooms rundown and in need of updating. But this was the worst part. Grounds amazing. Truly a tropical paradise Beach was top notch. Staff incredible. Really can’t say enough about the wonderful people working there. Attentive cleaning staff. Wonderful bartenders and servers and a large and hardworking maintenance staff. Front desk took care of the few issues we had with the room promptly and with care. Entertainment staff was out of this world. So hard working. They put on great entertainment every day at the pool and every evening in the small theatre. Disco every night. Our teenage kids had a blast. The smaller size of the resort was actually a plus. Got to know the staff and guests very well. Buffet and a la cartes exceeded expectations. Over all a great experience and I would recommend. Certainly not a 5 star resort but great value for your money!!

We had a wonderful stay at Viva Heavens. Our room was spacious and had balcony. Food and drinks were decent. The main dining buffet does open late (6:30) so if you like to eat early this isn’t ideal. The beach area was clean and had plenty of loungers and had the option of being in the shade or in the sun. Only down side was a couple of nights we were awoken by people yelling and partying at 2:00 in the morning and the staff didn’t seem to take notice or care. We also noticed some guests would place their t-shirts/ towels around the pool area to claim a spot then go to the beach or the dining area so that no else could sit there. This limited the seating around the pool. Overall great stay and good value for the money.

The entire staff was very nice and kind during our stay, always offering to help with everything. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very familiar, for a trip with children it is excellent.

This stay was a mixed bag. Service was excellent. Food was uneven: a dinner in the Mexican restaurant was great, in the Italian one regrettable. Activities were limited, despite staff enthusiasm. And there seemed to be enough loungers almost all the time, a big plus. Great shower, too. But the big problem was terrible internet: cellular in-room wifi, and even lobby internet (though this latter was sometimes ok). And various room details need upgrading: lighting, bathroom hooks, drawers—not costly improvements (and we had a large room with sitting area)! The Playa Dorada area is very nice, and with only a few hotels. But we are unlikely to return.

Buffet in bar staff were excellent but the animation staff could use some work with intermingling with the people.

The overall not bad! We did had a great time at the beach, the beach is clean and nice. Beach volleyball was fun! And there is always beach chairs available which is so convinient! The stuff members are amazing 👏 But few things we didnt like...the premium drinks are only for viva members and you absolutely can not do an upgrade for an additional price, that was very dissapointing! Our TV in the room didnt work, and they offered to change the room after couple days, which at that point was pointless.

It was clean and front desk was warm n welcoming. I’m very disappointed at one person at the towel site. When I asked for towels , it was not available several times. There’s one girl name Isa, (21 years old) she was very arrogant when I questioned about the towels. I was talking to the guys at the site n she got in the middle of the conversation with a very high pitch and arrogant manner. Later at the buffet, she again confronted me: saying exact words that she doesn’t care about no clients at the hotel n that she will fight if she has to. I had to report her at the front desk . I spoke to the manager, Marie n she was very supported of the incident. She came to see who the aggressive girl was. I never thought that a person working at the hotel that is supposed to be courteous can be so aggressive.

Good proximity to airport. Clean, neat garden and pool areas. Comfortable beds, nice sheets and towels. Good A/C. Good drink variety. Very friendly staff. Spacious room. Umbrella provided! Hard to get restaurant reservations, as 2 of the a la carte restaurants were closed each night. Mold in shower grout/caulking. Soap scum on glass. Broken bathroom fixtures. No hot water in bathroom sink. Got food poisoning from eating salad appetizer at Puebla 222 restaurant (I know better, but forgot.) Raunchy entertainment dancing some nights. Uber works fine here, though staff told us several times that it didn’t.

The staff were very friendly. The buffet food was very limited and not very appetizing. The a la carte restaurants were clean and the food tasty. Rooms were somewhat clean. Inadequate quantity of bath towels. No body lotions or other amenities. Very limited activities. Hotel did not live up to prior reviews and should not be considered a 4 star.

The staff were lovely, everyone was real helpful and efficient. would definitely revisit this property at the drop of the dime!

Marie is a keeper and so was concierge they help w everything. I cant complain from service to food go back 4 sure

This hotel was very clean and the service was excellent

Expedia got us a great deal with this property, greatly appreciated. There were lots of mosquitoes in the evening due to the big pond next to the property, but maybe there isn’t much to do to remedy that? The Italian restaurant’s food wasn’t very good which required a reservation. However, the exception was that the pizzas were always very good, and didn’t require a reservation. The buffet restaurant was always very good, just that restaurant was worth the stay there! The room was very nice, and service was excellent with quick response to any complaints. When we arrived, the safe was broken with the combination function not working, along with a vent fan that was so loud and strong that it shook the floor. Both issues were resolved quickly, but the best solution would have been to have these things working correctly upon checking in to the room, yes? All in all, we enjoyed a lovely stay, and I would visit again.

Enjoyed our stay mostly due to staff, especially the entertainment crew who put on great shows every night. Rooms were fine, but when it rained there were drips from the roof! Strangely they charged our companions to reprogram card keys that stopped working, although I wasn't charged. The food was good, but it does get tiring to eat similar things every day. Make your dinner reservations the moment you arrive, especially if you have a larger group.
