Needed a place to stay for graduation weekend for my partner, my parents and my sister. We stayed in a double room and a room with a double bed and a single. Both rooms were very nice and equipped with wireless internet and en-suite bathrooms. Everything was clean. The first day, we went for the breakfast and were surprised by the large amount of food that was served. There were cereals, english breakfast, toast with jam, honey and cheese as well as fresh fruit.

The owner was very friendly and helpful; I didn't book the breakfast and he said that it was cheaper to go out for breakfast--I appreciated such honesty. The location was a bit out of the city center, but I knew that from the map and it was only a 15 minute walk to the center; easy to get to and it was not at all in a bad neighborhood.

The door lock was very sticky causing a problem in opening in the mornings when going out. The loo had poor flush, necessitating a little old fashioned manual intervention with the cistern to adjust water levels to guarantee a reasonable flush.

On arrival confusion about the booking as booking agent had apparently not confirmed reservation. Staff were helpful in sorting it out. Easy enough to find and good central location.

Manager was rude and abrupt with me, my partner and with other guests. Very self centred; he said we had to pick up our bags from the B&B exactly at 4.00 because he couldn't wait around all day as he 'has a life'. Would thoroughly not recommend

I spent the Easter long weekend at this guesthouse, travelling by myself from London to do some exploring in Cambridge for the first time. I had originally booked a private single room with shared bathroom, but when I arrived the owner was very kind and placed me in a private room with it's own ensuite. The room was pleasant, with a window overlooking the garden, the premises were very quiet and peaceful and made for a nice, relaxing weekend. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, fresh towels each day. The location is a little bit out of the central area, but I didn't mind, as I like walking around anyway! It was exactly what I was hoping for; I got to do some exploring around the city, and was able to have a relaxing base for some downtime when my legs got tired or it started raining!

I stayed here for a few days, and it was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The shower did not work, and they didn't change the sheets every day. The Owner was also a bit rude towards me. The room was homely, though, and the television worked well.

I needed to stay in Cambridge at short notice, this place offered a room at a good price. The room and hotel are basic, I wouldn't stay here for a getaway/holiday but if you need somewhere to lay your head this place does exactly that. Very Easyjet but I had no problems during my stay, the staff were nice and the location was fine

This is a cynical type of establishment - a small room in a badly converted 'guest house'. Cheap but you need to go into the experience with your eyes open - this really is just somewhere to get your head down. No communial areas and no breakfast. I heard arguements between hotel owner and guests, wifi was very poor and the whole set up was not up to scratch. Avoid. Cambridge city centre is 12-15 mins walk away.

We found this hotel at the last minute(2 days before leaving for Europe!) thanks to the excellent Expedia customer service and were very happy with our stay. Room was very small but clean and comfortable. The proprietor was always helpful arranging for taxis when we needed one, although the hotel is only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the center of Cambridge.

We did room only. It had an en-suite, was freshly painted, beds clean and fresh towels every day. The room had coffee\tea available and television. It was within walking distance to the River Cam and centre of Cambridge. I would recommend it as a good budget guest house.
